I was incorrect he is only hereditary prince meaning he is heir-presumptive
did one of his other brothers keep their rights to become become head of
the house? I thought he was head of the house finding someone else is.

His fatehr is the present Head of the House as he is still alive.

After the wedding of Count Björn Bernadotte and Sandra
Angerer this year, there will be another wedding on the island
of Mainau in summer 2010.

Count Christian Bernadotte and Christine Stoltmann got
engaged in Sweden this August the Mainau company
annouced on Wednesday.

Count Christian is 30 years old now, studying and the only
of the five sibblings that hasn't married yet :)

Here's the official pic and an article about it.

Here's the newest pic of Count Björn Bernadotte and
Countess Sandra taken in the castle garden last week.

Prussian Nobility

I am seeking sources in Prussian genealogy. I have collected some information on the minor noble house of "von Fuhrmann" (13th to 17th century), later changed to "von Vormann" (18th to present).

The family had its origins tentatively in 13th century Brandenburg, but documented first in late 14th century in Stolp (city & district) of Pomerania (Ger. Pommern). Received land (and title?) from the Duke of Pomerania (Herzog von Pommern).

The material to date includes most of the major sources (e.g. Gotha). I am missing any and all details on the various branches of the house von Fuhrmann 13th through 20th century. There remains only one family von Vormann in Germany today with one male heir. I have contacted the family head and exchanged all available findings.

I would appreciate any reference to printed source material. Information on U.S. or Europe archival holdings (English or German or Polish) most welcome.

Cheers!

Which Marie Therese do you are interested in? There are several branches of Waldburg-Zeil Family, and several Marie Thereses...

About the 11th Prince von Thurn und Taxis, Johannes, he was born on 5 June 1926 and died on 14 December 1990.

Not really sure. My mother Leslie was saying that there is one about 20 years old. Maybe you know more about her, if you do, please post :flowers:

That the eldest daughter of Hereditary Count Erich and his wife Mathilde, née Duchess of Württemberg. She was born in 1989. In the Online Gotha you can find the Genealogies of all the mayhor Houses.

Wedding and baby news from the Mainau Island!

Count Christian Bernadotte and Christine Stoltmann, now Countess
Christine, who got engaged last summer, have married in a civil
ceremony last Saturday, May 22. The church wedding that was
planned for coming August has been delayed as the couple is
expecting their first child that same month! Here's a small version
of the official wedding picture:

** Pic **

I wonder where the wedding took place. That weekend the Mainau Island was so growded with people (long pentecost weekend, school holidays and super sunny wheather) that it would have been almost impossible to find some privacy.

It's so sad that Countess Sonja didn't have the chance to be with her children and grandchildren much longer.

The wedding has taken place on the island. All five sibbling have
married on the island (2003, 2004, 2007, 2009 and now 2010),
which is a very nice tradition in my eyes, also thinking of their
late parents.. Actually three other couples (not related, just
other couples) also took the chance and married on the island
that same day. So it seems you can have your privacy there
event if the island is as crowed as you've told us, Lichtenstein.

In the meantime the press spokesman of the Mainau island has
announced more baby news! Countess Diana is expecting her
second child and that baby is also expected in August. Her
daughter comes from her first marriage that was divorced,
there's no information about the father of the new child.

Hi iceflower, the Mainau Island was so crowded as I've never seen before. People had to wait about two and a half hours before leaving the island by boat. We've stayed just opposite the Mainau in Uhldingen for the pentecost weekend and it was just like whole of Baden-Württemberg, Austria and Switzerland where there.

:previous:
Both the Island and the Schloss are pretty big; maybe there was enough room to squeeze in a quiet and private civil wedding.

Mainau is tiny! Even if about half of the island isn't open to the public it does not take much long to walk around it. Privacy can be found in the castle where only the base floor with the restaurant is opened for visitors.

Countess Bettina Bernadotte will talk about her attendance at Victoria´s wedding on Saturday, June 26th in German TV-channel "SWR" with Frank Elstner in "Menschen der Woche".

Yesterday, August 17, the Mainau baby number 2 for 2010 was born
- exactly one week after it's cousin! :flowers:

Countess Diana has given birth to her second child, now a boy! The
baby is called Eric Hagen Lennart (Lennart after his grandfather,
the late Count Lennart Bernadotte).
