Does anyone know?

Some years ago I read in an biography about Princess Grace that she
has had two miscarriages, the same was said in some reviews in the
1990s. I remember having read and heard that she had lost one
baby when being on a visit to the USA with Rainier, Caroline and
Albert and that this was the reason why there are several years
between Albert’s and Stéphanie’s birth. Doctors had told her not to
try again after the second miscarriage, but they did nevertheless,
and little Stéph was born…
I’m not the one for any gossip, but I’d like to know, if some of
you know more about that. As a woman myself I always consider
the loss of a baby as a very tragic moment in life…

Yes, it's true..But I don't know if the second was also in that time between Albert and Stephanie. In some papers there was mentioned that she had one miscarriage after Stephanie, in a time when Stephanie was little maybe one aor two years old, but don't know how reliable is that. (seen photo on Corbis once..in description was..pregnant Princess Grace with husband and daughter Stephanie in London to interview some prominent nannies..year was 1966 or 1967..but don't know if that is trust source..)

Neverthless, it is so sad and tragic for every woman to experience that..

I saw a documentary that revealed Princess Grace had a miscarraige while visiting Montreal Canada. This was before Stephanie. Rainier, Albert & caroline were on the trip with her. Very sad. I'd heard a few times that they always wanted a larger family than what they had although they were blessed with 3 beautiful children.

Yeah I also heard it was during a visit to Montreal, I think it was after Stephanie was born in 1967 for the World Fair going there at the time. I need to check in my collection...

Very nice pics Regina I have seen pics of Grace either taking pics or video from her children, but never inside the Palace.

This scarf reminds me of Charlotte visting the mess for the Pope...
But I also think that Grace was one of the most wonderful looking
royals ever..Can't remember any picture taken, she looked bad on..

It is Howell because if you look at the previous page of this thread there is another pic posted from that same ocassion in which u see Rainier and Grace. Rainier had a beard and different clothing than on the pic we're talking about. So it is Howell Connant, I have the book so there's several pics of him inside too.
