I didn't read that he is not an Austrian citizen, I just always read that he is a German citizen. But I stand corrected, apparently he does have 3 citizenships.
That's a bit strange because Austria is rather reluctant even with handing out double citizenships, but being a Prince might have helped ;)
 
That is a good point; Austrian nationals applying for foreign citizenship, or vice versa, generally must renounce their original citizenship when that is possible, unless given permission by the Austrian authorities to retain it.

However, perhaps all three of Ernst August's citizenships were inherited, as he is descended in legitimate, direct male line from German-Austrian and British royal families. The Austrian regulations to avoid multiple citizenships do not apply to birthright citizenships.

He does not say much on camera, most of the program consists of the reporter retelling what he told her off camera (retelling it with his permission).

On camera, he compliments the spa hotel & staff and says that he needs to gain weight, which he is trying to achieve by frequenting restaurants in the area, which he also compliments.

Off camera, he told the reporter that he is followed by the media and often watched by people who recognize him. Someone saw him drinking beer in a restaurant in the area, but he claims that it was alcohol-free beer.

He told her that the media always report negatively on him and if he was seen helping an elderly lady across the street, they would still find a way to report on it in a negative way. He also told her that the Prince of Wales has advised him not to read anything that is written about himself.

He claimed not to remember the violent incidents, as they supposedly happened during "diabetic episodes" and he does not remember what happens when he has these :whistling::whistling:

Yes, generally one must renounce one. But they like to make exceptions for famous people such as Anna Netrebko, so I wouldn't rule out that that's the reason ;)

But it could also be that he was born with all three, yes.

Well, if it were up to me, I would certainly make exceptions for Anna Netrebko. What an awesome soprano voice. Pure music flows from her. Smile!
 
According to German press reports Prince Ernst August is in love again.

It’s an artist living in Madrid, mother of two children, they are said to have met on the Island of Ibiza this summer and new photos show the couple out for lunch with Prince Christian in Madrid:

Her father Mike Stilianopoulos was born in the Philippines, the son of a Greek-Spanish couple, and was the Philippine ambassador to the United Kingdom and other European countries. Her mother was Esperanza Ridruejo "Pitita" a well-known person among Spanish high society.

There is still the legal case ongoing, in which Ernst August sr. wants the possessions back, which he has gifted Junior. There seems to be a bitter rift!

Bunte online, the German tabloid, reports, that the on EA sr. imposed court conditions in the Austrian legal case because of his spree with a baseball bat to a Police Station and his threatning of some folks, among them his housekeepers, were taken away from him and are void.

They were a contact prohibition towards his house keepers, a prohibition to drink alcohol, the passing of a psycho therapy and a 3 year prohibition to enter his hunting property in Austria.
