He is also wearing a mask, Cellmade, made in a prison workshop, a very good thing to do.Wow, how many reigining monarchs have visited prisons? At least in the last two centuries?
Well done, Philippe, going everywhere!
King Philippe was named as one of the men of the year 2020 by the Flemish newspaper 'Het Nieuwsblad'.
They mention that at 60 the king is 'finally an adult' and that he has 're-animated' the monarchy. There is praise for the king's speech about the Congo, praise for the way he handled the government formations and praise for him welcoming Delphine into the family.

As one, of the men of the year 2020, well deserved. I don't think it took him 60 years to finally become an adult, but well if you think so. I feel he has done a very good job as King, the Head of State, husband and father. 2020 a very difficult year, he rose to the occasion. I think for him everything, as a man who is a bit shy he outshone everyone.
Farewell audience today by King Philippe of Ronald J. Gidwitz, Ambassador of the United States of America in Belgium.

The king -in his car- unexpectedly ended up in a demonstration tonight (that turned violent afterwards). See last picture in this (Dutch) article.
Gosh that could have turned nasty and maybe time to review Belgian Royal security.
