The anger at the Palace is great after Anders Olsson stated that the king had a part in Sara Danius's resigning from the Swedish Academy.
Now Olsson is sitting in a meeting with the king - where the king wants the correct facts on the table.
- The king has not taken part in Sara Danius resigning. That's not true at all, says Margareta Thorgren.
On Tuesday, King Carl Gustaf met Member Anders Olsson at the Stockholm Palace for an information meeting about the crisis in the Swedish Academy.
Olsson stated on Friday's P1 Morgon that it was the meeting that lay behind Sara Danius's choice to resign today.
- The conversation with the king that lasted for an hour leading up to this. We shared the same analysis, he said.
But Expressen finds out that the king has been very upset by the statement and at the moment Anders Olsson is sitting in a meeting with the king at the Royal Palace to explain.

Furthermore, any member who has not participated in the work of the Academy for a period of more than two years will be considered to have left the Academy, even if that member has not formally submitted their resignation.
It is a given premise of Swedish and international law that any person who no longer wishes to be a member of an organisation must be allowed to leave. This premise should also apply to the Swedish Academy.

What does Solliden mean in your life?
- I can start by saying it's an inheritance simply. A legacy that commits and which I continue on in the best possible way.
- I inherited this from Gustaf V, basically when I was born. And since then I've felt more and more for it and tried to carry on the inheritance, as far as it goes. It's not that easy, there's a lot to do here, with staff and a garden that's always changing in some way.

The king visited the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm for a seminar on Treesearch, a research platform for the development of new material from forest raw materials.
