Yes, such a treat to see such beautiful pieces and the prices they fetched. Not super expensive

I was very surprised at the estimated prices ,the Harberton tiara too is very lovely.

A Royal Jewelwriter told me that each time a tiara or other jewels are to sale by an Auction House , they ask first to the Royal Houses if they want.
Nobody knew King Philippe and Queen Mathilde bought their Daughter great tiara before the Auction without bids.
jewels of the late Grand Duchess Josephine Charlotte were sold before the Auction Cancellation.

Princess Margarete Karola of Saxony, was photographed wearing the jewel in a formal portrait.

Princess Birgitta of Sweden also wore the tiara, including an appearance in the jewel at the royal wedding of her cousin, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, in 1967.

Who bought the tiara?
I would love for this tiara to be worn again by a European princess or queen.

I wish Mary wore this

Some pieces coming up for sale. Whilst Mary's own jewel box will increase substantially next weekend, I think she could continue to add to the collection to provide for the next generation. Mathilde always remains a potential purchaser.

I could very easily see Queen Mathilde wearing anyone of those brooches :previous:

Indeed. But these are also ones that Mary could use to bolster the DRF vaults. There have been few additions inQueen Margarethe's time, barring a few gifts received from Prince Henrik.

Indeed. I flagged some of the items for sale upthread. Hope Mathilde has been shopping!

Queen Mathilde did spring to mind when have a closer look at the brooches on sale :previous:

Mary could also add to the collection, but I suspect she has her hands full currently.

The brooch is really lovely and a not too pricey either, could see it on Mathilde!

The amethyst and diamond ring would go well with Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden's Amethyst Tiara.

The amethyst right and brooch would be lovely for Queen Mary, especially as that is her birthstone.

In June 2022 in Sweden has been sold this set, which would be an interesting addition to the jewelry of the Swedish Royal Family because its history.

Mary also has a nice pair of amethyst and diamond earrings.

I could imagine Leonor, Amalia or Elisabeth wearing. Or more forward Estelle when turning 18

Queen Mathilde really has started a nice brooch collection :previous:
