The twins are involved in this year’s Melbourne Cup Carnival, as is Crown Princess Mary’s nephew by marriage, Nikolai.

(They may be involved on different days and so may not meet up. Many well-known faces will be popping up during race-week. Amelia and Eliza are due to attend on Oaks Day and Cup Day, Nikolai is scheduled for Derby Day.)

Amelia and Eliza will be involved with the judging of the Fashions in the Field, which is going global this year.

And it is being reported that their uncle by marriage, King Charles, has one of his horses … “Desert Hero” … entered in the actual Melbourne Cup race.

Althorp, the actual main house, is available to rent. Details in the link below.

I guess times are changing with movie stars renting at St James Palace, cottages available for the general public to stay in on the Balmoral and Sandringham Estates etc.

(There was a recent write-up and photos from someone who stayed in one of the Sandringham houses.)

But, this is the actual Althorp House itself that you, I, or anyone with the desire and enough money, can stay in.

The island where Diana is buried is out of bounds though.

There are some beautiful photos in the listing’s gallery.

It sleeps fifty-four, so if you have forty-four friends and family to join in, what an experience for Diana fans.

It’s going to be hot in Melbourne today, around 30 degrees, and less breeze than Saturday’s Derby Day, but the horses will be under fans to keep them comfortable while they await their turn on the track.

Good Morning Britain also interviewed him about this book which details his in multiple ways abusive school environment. The interviewers were clearly well-prepared and the Earl is very articulate in his answers.
