Fashion and Style of Royal Men, Part 7: September 2021 - July 2022

We can always rely on Prince Charles to dress well.:cool:

Yes, we can always rely on one of his lifetime valets to make sure that his outrageously costly shoes and garments are at the ready, clean, mended, and brushed, zipped and straightened as said valets assist his dressing!

Charles does have a marvelous wardrobe, and he wears it with remarkable panache, in the habits and routine of a long life. ;)

Prince Charles is just like his sister Anne, in that they are both still rotating decades-old ensembles to really good effect. Stylish and thrifty.

At the moment I am still trying to recover from seeing CP Frederik wearing a grubby beige rumpled mac to church at Easter. I saw it on my phone and cringed and didn't know how to post it.

Yes, a grubby belge rumpled mac when his wife looks always perfectly !

Nice looking a happy people and, would you believe this is the first time I have noticed that K W-A's beard is not strawberry blond but right real ginger! :D

I don't know if the hat goes with the suit, but Edward looks good with the hat. Shades of Philip! https://hips.hearstapps.com/hmg-pro...pg?crop=1xw:0.99756xh;center,top&resize=980:*
He is a practical man who has a significant bald patch and so is wearing a Panama hat and coming from a country with some of the highest numbers of skin cancer I cannot fault him. But, it would be really great if Sophie took him by the hand and went shopping for several more in different colours that can be worn as an accessory instead of like an umbrella. Men of the BRF use black umbrellas whilst women use complementary colours or, if you are really serious as is our Queen, clear with a complimentary colour band around the edges.

the hat is a plus but Edward needed a different suit.

Giving cute professor vibes.

Hard to do, but even cuter with the hard hat and googles : D

Either Frederik has a new valet or Mary is on holiday or at other engagements and misses the total mishmash that Fred is becoming. I like his jacket, I like his beautiful green jumper, his trousers are meh and his shoes and work of art however, not one single item matches or merges aesthetically. Even his cool beard is in dire need of a neat trim.

Fred's suit is tailored to perfection, but I can't get with linking the light plaid pattern of the suit with the print of the tie.

It didn't work, imo.

New here....are there any royal men who tend to go bold-ish with their fashion choices? Like a nice closet?

Just anyone who isn't Harry who I love but I swear as wore the same pair tan shoes for years?

Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark is greatly admired for fashion around here. His brother Joachim doesn't get out quite as much but I think is also stylish.

Kings Philippe of Belgium and Felipe of Spain wear very nice suits. Philippe never wears anything but suits, actually. It's quite a blessing to all our eyes. He's a thoughtful man. ;)

Bea's husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi has gotten praise for his look lately.

And Charles actually has a very nice unique sustainable wardrobe that he cares about.

thank you, i'll peruse some more ^^

I've noticed in passing photos that Charles has little quirks or pop's of color here and there.

I like a guy that can push it a little with his fashion, I get that it'd be slightly different for royal men.

Like the Dutch King? I believe. He had purple socks at Invictus, it clashed with the outfit but I thought it was fun.

Oh, yes, sorry, and I forgot Joachim's two adult sons Nikolai and Felix, who are actual models, and Nik at least tends to carry it off the job as well (Felix is much newer to the profession).

And probably the Casiraghi brothers in Monaco.

I find I am amused by King WA's occasional sartorial quirks just as I appreciate Prince Charles's small boutonnieres, often in blue.

The Earl of Wessex wore a funny, colourful and themed tie during a visit to Shallowford Farm yesterday:

Prince Edward's checked shirt coordinates very well with his plaid suit jacket.

:previous: Given the unexpected shape and colour of his spectacle frames I would not have thought they would suit him but they do. Very distinguished.
