I think the Persian Turquoise Tiara is exquisite. How do you think the color would look on Beatrice?

I can't see her wearing the fringe, as Gabriella just wore such a similar tiara for her wedding. Beatrice won't want to wear any tiara worn by recent royal brides.

Even though they looks similar I don't think the Kent Fringe can be compared to QM's Fringe, in terms of the history, significance and previous wearer ?. (But I did forget that the Queen had worn it couple years ago, not sure is it available to Beatrice.)

Actually I hope to see Meghan wear the Turquoise after seeing her turquoise jewels recently, but I think turquoise will look nice on Beatrice too.

The bracelet of Queen Mother reminds me the head piece Beatrice wore in last year Met Gala . She can pull it off with similar style.

I just want to see it on someone, anyone, so that we know it’s back with the Queen. Beatrice seems like the best hope.
I think Meghan’s going to stick to her wedding tiara for her first few tiara events and it’s not like she has many of those as is.

As for Beatrice, I think a lot will depend on the veil or no veil. If she wars a veil then a smaller diamond tiara seems likely, like Kate and Meghan. But if she doesn’t wear a veil them a larger, coloured tiara wold seem more likely, like Eugenie.

As a wild card I'll submit the Oriental Circlet because of it's connection to Queen Victoria and because I would love it to be seen. Maybe too much for a bridal look? (In that case, please Kate step up and wear it to the next dipomatic dinner. )

The Oriental Circlet belongs to the Crown and is only worn by Queens regnant and consort. Expect it next on Camilla or possibly Catherine when Queen.

I once read that when Queen Alexandra had the Oriental Circlet altered, six elements were removed and the opals were replaced with rubies. Five of those elements on a frame would be fantastic. It's unlikely, but I can dream. I'm sure we'll be surprised with a tiara we thought was lost forever,

I think it will be the York tiara. However, I would be beyond thrilled if she wore:

Queen Mother’s bracelet-tiara

I don't know if you are aware but the set actually includes 2 diamond bracelets. I had only ever seen the top picture that you show before and thought it would look odd if someone wore the diamond with two of the colored stone bracelets. Then when Angela Kelly's book came out the bracelets are pictured showing all five. So the two diamonds on either side of one of the colored stones would be much better in my opinion. While I would really like to see someone take it out for a spin, I don't think it would be an attractive wedding option.

If they are 'on loan' from the Duke of Fife they don't belong to the Queen or the Royal Collection as they have obviously gone, via Edward VII's daughter out of the BRF in the strictest sense. I doubt therefore that a British royal, or any royal for that matter, will wear them again. If the Fife's were invited to a royal tiara function then they would be worn by the Fife women but otherwise they will sit at the V&A or in the Fife's vault.

Yes I know all that hence my wording 'what I wouldn't give' ....there are two gorgeous tiaras on loan from my understanding that are the Fife's that were once Queen Victorias. I know they will never be worn by the BRF unless somehow they were sold back if they even wanted them.

I did some more research--
It is in the Victoria & Albert museum, but Queen Victoria's sapphire tiara isn't on loan from the Duke of Fife. It was given by George V to his daughter, The Princess Royal and was worn by the 7th Earl of Harewood's son's bride in 1992. After 1997 the ownership gets fuzzy but after a foreign buyer applied for an export license in 2016, a brouhaha erupted. Another buyer, William Bollinger and his family, purchased the tiara for the asking price and gifted it to the Nation and Commonwealth to keep it for historical reasons.

So very unlikely to leave the V & A, but that is my choice if all things were possible.

The two on loan from the Fife's are the emerald and gold tiara and that dazzling diamond tiara. Both are simply gorgeous!

The small sapphire tiara was a great save (I didn't know who bought it..thought it was an annon buyer!) and very glad it is in the V&A.

The York Tiara wins cause one would think Beatrice would want to wear her mother’s wedding tiara at her wedding. It’s an exquisite tiara that hasn’t been publicly seen in many years now. Next year is the perfect time to polish it off and debut it for the wedding.

Yes, I know. The Queen wears the bracelets regularly. I think it could work with the right veil and hair.

Hmmm...I'm thinking the York tiara. It would be appropriate as the eldest daughter. :D

Looking at all the tiaras listed and a few others, I think we will see the York Tiara. It would fit Beatrice and honor her mom. I feel Beatrice has honored her Grandma by having an engagement ring similar to Grandmas, so next person to honor would be her mom. I do not see any colored stone tiara being used or ones currently worn by other ladies.

Wait and see!

The question is whether or not the York tiara is available. The other question will be whether if it is available, whether or not it suitably fits with what Beatrice plans to wear. These decisions are surely still to be worked out. Beatrice has time to plan and make her choices. I hope she and Edo enjoy and bask in the process.

Of the tiaras listed, I agree with those who cross off the list those tiaras that have been recently worn by others. I just do not think Beatrice is going to wear a tiara previously worn by Kate, Meghan, or Eugenie. And the tiaras worn by Kate and Meghan IMO aren't exactly suited to Beatrice anyway. While the Greville Emerald tiara would probably look good on Beatrice as it did on Eugenie, I don't think that is going to be Beatrice's choice.

While the Fringe tiara often worn by the Queen would surely look good on Beatrice, as well as in a way carrying on tradition, I think it will come down to which tiara best matches the dress and the hairstyle Beatrice chooses.

Re the rest of the tiaras, I think the Papyrus and the York tiaras would look good on Bea more than any of the others pictured. But again, we don't know if the York tiara is still available. I'm inclined to think Bea will end up choosing a tiara not often seen, or that Edo (bless his romantic heart) will have a tiara specially created for Beatrice. :D

What do you think of a Crystal Tiara?

With all the family tiaras I dont see them buying her a new tiara. I dont see her going for a crystal beauty queen style tiara over one of the family pieces even if they did.

Although the Crystal Tiara is beautiful, I feel The Princess will be allowed and chose a tiara from her Grandmother’s ‘collection’, better yet will wear the York Tiara as a way of honoring her mother. The York Tiara is just the right size for the Princess. Whatever Tiara the Princess wears some will be surprised and some will be happy that their Tiara pick was chosen. We will wait and see!

I, on the other hand, think that Beatrice will decide on the tiara first and then have a dress designed to complement it. She has probably known her tiara options for some time and knows which ones she likes and which ones might be available to her.

The paryrus tiara has been worn by Kate a few times, so I don't think that she'll choose it. The lozenge bandeau is nice, but really small. It would be washed out by a veil, imo. The sapphire bandeau is great, but maybe wearing bandeau with a single, large, coloured stone would look too much like copying Eugenie. So I'll settle for the York tiara which I really like. Of course, we are not 100% sure that it's still there, but I think (and hope) it is.

The York tiara is in Sarah's possession. I think it would be a perfect choice for Beatrice. :flowers:

The York tiara is in Sarah's possession.

Maybe, and maybe not.
I've had my doubts ever since Eugenie did not wear it.

I'm betting Beatrice doesn't either.
I am hoping to see a tiara that hasn't appeared in years but is still in the collection.

Unless she sold it in private to someone who signed a privacy pact, the tiara is in the family some where. If that tiara had been sold it would have been leaked at some point.

Eugenie choosing not to wear it is not a sign of anything. Just a sign that she had something else in mind for her wedding. The tiara she chose is very different style. Same goes for Beatrice, she may choose to wear something which better suits her taste then her mother's tiara does.

I was happy when Eugenie didn't wear it. There were so many people saying 'Eugenie has no choice but to wear the York tiara. She has no other tiara to wear'. I was happy to be proved right that the queen would loan her granddaughter a tiara, considering she loans them to new family.

I truly hope that Beatrice wears Queen Mary's Fringe tiara. I do think she'd look beautiful in it and would carry it off well but more than that, I feel like she needs and deserves a special connection with her grandmother now more than ever. I realize that this probably isn't the right thread for it but I feel terribly sorry for Beatrice because her entire wedding and even the announcement of a wedding date has been completely overshadowed by the dramas surrounding her father and Harry/Meghan. In fact, there's every chance that all of that may have even drastically changed the wedding she'll be allowed to have. However, as the oldest blood princess of her generation and the one who I really feel has gotten the short end of the stick in all this wedding business through absolutely no fault of her own, I would be absolutely thrilled to see her wearing the same tiara that HM wore for her own wedding. The Queen can't change all of the dramas that are impacting Beatrice and her wedding but she can share that link with her.

I vote for the Queen Victoria sapphire coronet
That is a stunningly beautiful tiara, but it's not owned by the BRF. Afaik, it's displayed in a museum and I don't see any chance that it would be available for Beatrice.

I think Beatrice will wear a tiara we haven't seen for some time that will be pulled from the vaults. It is as if they had the opportunity to select one for their wedding. Frankly, it should be one of the perks of having your grandmother as Queen of England. :flowers:

The granddaughters and granddaughters-in-law have had this opportunity so far. (The exception is Anne's children whose mother has significant tiaras in her own right. Plus there was sentimental value, especially in Zara case wearing her great-grandmother's tiara.).

This will allow her to have a tiara available to her for the coronation of Charles and William, even possibly George. She won't have many tiara opportunities but on these occasions tiaras will be acceptable. Sarah, Duchess of York may be needing her own tiara for these events. (If in fact, she is invited to the coronations.)

That being said, I think she would look stunning with orange blossom flowers in her hair like Queen Vic or diamond flowers elements that could convert into a tiara. Beatrice has always been more eccentric regarding her hats and such.

While it’s on display in the Victoria and Albert it is privately owned. It was bought by hedge fund tycoon William Bollanger. I guess one would have to convince him to loan the tiara. It seems highly unlikely.

The tiara was given by George V to his daughter Mary. Unfortunately met the same fate as jewelry inherited by other junior branches and got sold off. No definite detail known but likely in 2011 for death taxes of the 7th Earl. It was in a museum until 2016 when a foreign buyer meant to buy it and take it abroad. William purchased it to keep it in UK and continued allowing it to be displayed.

The most likely choice would be to wear her mother's tiara but she might not want to for a couple of reasons:
*her parents' marriage ended in divorce so she might see it as a bit negative;
*it will draw comparisons in the media between her & her mother (same hair, same tiara);
*there might be another tiara on offer that she prefers.

If the Strathmore is in good enough condition, I'd love to see her in it and she'd be different to all the other recent brides. Failing that, Queen Mary's Fringe Tiara would be a lovely link with her grandmother.

What do you think of a Crystal Tiara?
That would look fabulous on a Burlesque dancer or a drag queen. I'll leave it there.
