I must work well enough for Kate, otherwise she wouldn't accompany Wills to his polo games.

In regards to horses (as it is with any allergy) I am sure how it differs on how it affects people. Also, Kate does accompany William to polo games, but I have never seen pics of her at a game within close proximity (standing next to) a horse.

Or maybe her father...you know the gentleman escorting her to the chapel in the morning...has an issue with horses...allergy perhaps....and that's why she chose to take a car instead...just a thought...

Even if Kate is deathly allergic to horses there are modern medicines that can help with that. There are doctors that specialize in allergies so the horse situation shouldn't be a problem.

Are we sure Kate has a real, physical, allergy to horses? As I recall, she told Kathy Lette, "I'm allergic to horses", in response to Lette asking her why she didn't play polo. Is there any other source for this fact? It could well be that she meant allergic in a metaphorical sense, as in she doesn't feel comfortable around them. Or maybe she was trying to brush Lette off politely, not wanting to discuss the matter with her but not wanting to be rude.

Re: The Queen asking Prince William: "At what point are you going to stop being trendy and start being realistic?"

After reading (In Royalty Nu - quoting The Independent) that Prince Charles wants a sustainable royal wedding. "The young couple, he proposed, should walk the last 100 metres to the palace, with distinguished world leaders arriving in community buses powered by bio-fuel. At the event itself, the Bushman's Prayer would be read from the pulpit while the vows would be accompanied by an aboriginal dreamsong, a one-note hum in which wedding guests would connect to their sacred ancestors." A senior royal aide tried without success to tone down the idea of a sustainable royal wedding but admitted defeat when Charles began talking about "the Jungian belief that modern man needs to get in touch with his two million-year-old self."

Perhaps the Queen should ask Prince Charles: "At what point are you going to stop being a Loon and start being realistic?"

She should rather seek a family who collects stamps or whatever else :D.

Actually she has found one of them and is marrying into a family with one of the best stamp collections in the world - started by George V and maintained ever since.:D

Oh, I didn't know that. Wrong example then, just imagine...

Then she should look for someone who comes from a family of tea-bag or cigar bands collectors - any other collection than stamps and far away from horses :D.

Maybe a family that collects royal memorabilia. And I mean that in a light, funny way...not in a snarky way.:flowers:

I'm wondering if this decision has been made because Kate is allergic to horses. If they only leave the church in a closed coach than maybe she won't have a prolonged exposure to the horses. Using a car will cut down on this. Also, I remember people saying how badly Diana's dress was crushed being smashed up in the coach. Maybe there will be more room in the car.

I like to think that the reason for the car is, because Kate is travelling to the church as a commoner but is leaving as a princess. :flowers:

Speaking of the dress, surely Catherine has chosen a designer by now?
There really isn't much time left, April is around the corner!

:previous: Oh she's chosen one alright, and I am sure they are beavering away on design, pattern, etc. She just doesn't have to tell us who it is . . . . at least until the wedding, if they can pull it off. That is another sort of tradition . . . . . . playing headgames with the fashionistas! :ROFLMAO:

Question: How long did CP Victoria keep that particular secret?

So to those who I promised the documentary have to go back on my word for some reason my TLC is not airing it instead they're showing something completely different...guess I'll have to wait for CBC to show it next week.

TLC is showing the documentary here - maybe someone will be able to upload it.

I am watching the TLC documentary now.

They are not talking about anything most of us dont' know in regards to the most recent weddings IMO.

What is a nice touch is hearing most of the designers talk about the wedding dresses that the brides wear. So far the designers for Diana and Sarah dresses have spoken. Also Lady Hicks and her daughter India who participated in the weddings of a then Princess Elizabeth and Lady Diana Spencer have spoken as well. That was a nice touch.

Still waiting for the discussion on Sophie and Kate.

I think the special comes on tomorrow night at midnight.

WOW!!!! That is some present!

If it's true she should use some of them to make a complete set including a tiara, earings, bracelet, necklace, etc.

The news of that obscenely expensive gift will certainly guarantee William and Kate the support of pensioners, university students, and people on hospital waiting lists.

FYI for those in Canada CBC owns the copyright to William, Kate & 8 Royal Weddings that's why our TLC did not air the show tonight. CBC will air it on January 16th for us. I just found that out right now thanks to our good friend "Google".
