During his toast, Don Juan Carlos emphasized that thanks to the leadership of president Kirchner and 'to the effort shared of all the Argentines', it can be said today 'with admiration and pride, that Argentina' has managed to surpass, in just very a few years, the serious crisis 'lived at the beginning of the decade'. The Spaniards – stressed the monarch – have always been, and will always be, with Argentina, at the good and at the most difficult moments, cheering up its own successes and sharing its problems and hopes. Nothing of what happens in Argentina is unrelated to us.
Néstor Kirchner, on the other hand, started his toast, emphasizing the 'quality and kindness' of the Spanish feelings towards his country, and congratulated the Princes of Asturias for the birth of their daughter, Infanta Leonor, last October.

Not there is no dinner of gala, is an official visit, not a visit of State, the dinners of gala are only for the visits of State.

But surely they are staying more than one day, or not? I cannot imagine the president and his wife having flown over all the way from Argentina, just to have lunch!

The president of The Philippines will be entertained tomorrow by a luncheon that the Kings will offer in her honor in the Royal Palace and at which also the Princes of Asturias will be present.

I hope President Gloria will bring her daughter Luli to the luncheon. She went to Georgetown with Felipe. I know the presidential family is in Spain right now because they're mixing business and vacation.
