I have never seen this brooch before, and I love it! The design is just wonderful. Love those pink and blue sapphires.

From Her Majesty's Jewel Vault: The Irish Silver Spiral Brooch

This is one of my least favorite brooches of the Queen. It's very bland and boring in my opinion.

Well, if you like silver then it's a nice brooch. I prefer her sparkly, gem-encrusted brooches personally because I'm that kind of girl who likes bling.

I prefer the brooch from close up photo,it seems to have celtic designs on it that remind me of the Newgrange site, which may have been its inspiration.

The Queen received another brooch for her collection from the Prime Minister of New Zealand. It is a blue pearl brooch from a Christchurch company, so something a bit different - there is a picture in the following article:

Can anyone find a picture of the Quuen at church yesterday? It would be lovely if she had worn her new brooch!

From Her Majesty's Jewel Vault: The Gold Foliate Brooch

From what I can see, I do not like this brooch. The design looks awful.

Looks like another new(?) brooch today in Aberdeen. Maybe one of the Jubilee gifts?
Although it may be the triple-thistle (awaiting clear photos)
