Are you from Sweden, Cissan? Or where have you heard the TV-commentator? Oh, I would love to watch the whole Nobel prize ceremony (+ dinner). Every year it stops at the end of the awardOriginally posted by Cissan@Dec 11th, 2003 - 8:30 am
hihihi... She must have worked hard on that one...
Did you here the TV-commentators say that she would have preferred vegetables? I didn't know she was almost vegetarian!
Wow, u even picked up that (the first point) up!Originally posted by Cissan@Dec 11th, 2003 - 8:00 am
Great pictures Lena! :flower:
I think Madeleine has altered her dress quite a lot now that I have studied it more closely.
1. Like I pointed out before she has changed the neckline so it is not ”straight” anymore if you understand how I mean.
2. I think it’s longer now. Please compare picture no 70 that Lena posted today with picture no 18 in the Jordanian state visit thread. (Page 6 Here's a link - http://www.lestribunesroyales.com/forums/i...pic=3219&st=100 )
3. If you look in picture no 70 in this thread you can see she has a long train of lace in the back of the dress. I don’t think it was there before.
All in all, she looks more ”party” this way.
At the time when Alfred Nobel died Sweden and Norway was joined in a union that Jean-Baptist Bernadotte ( the first Bernadotte on the swedish throne) "created" as King of Sweden ( namned Karl XIV Johan).Originally posted by beebee@Dec 10th, 2003 - 9:30 pm
Both Sweden and Norway host the Nobel ceremony? How does this work? Why isn't the Norway royal family shown here?
Of the regular posters are only Josefine, Yennie and Alva Swedes. And moosey lived in Sweden for several years. All the other regular posters in the Sweden-forum are just trying to understand all these swedish thingsOriginally posted by Cissan@Dec 11th, 2003 - 10:29 am
Yes I am from Sweden. Sorry, I assumed all of you were swedish also.
Well, the commentators said that they thought Madeleine would have preferred vegetables, but I guess it's not comme il faut for royals to be vegetarians. I know that it's possible to get vegetarian alternatives at Nobel because our prime minister Göran Persson is a vegetarian. I think it's really silly if people think that royals can't be vegetarians. Don't you?
she "silvia" has worn 27 different dresses to the Nobels. The dresses has never been new ones
(as she has worn them before on state visit banquets), but never twice at the Nobel Prize
Award celebration.
During the 27 times Queen Silvia has attended to the Nobel Prize Award, she has never worn a new
dress! Usually she has used one of those which she'd wore some years earlier on a state visit
banquet, but yesterday was the first time she'd wore a dress "from the same year".
...... in 1976 (Queen Silvia's first time at the Nobel Prize Award) she
wore
the same dress which she wore on the state visit to the Netherlands two months earlier that year.
Now we could start the plastic surgery-discussion again ...Personally I don´t think that she had a serious surgery... just a chemical peeling or a little botox-injection. But I think the main-reason for her good look is her discipline. Not much drinking, no smoking, a healthy diet, sports...and probably she has "good genes"Originally posted by Dennism@Dec 11th, 2003 - 2:20 pm
I have heard from a few women of a "certain age" who say that they wish they looked as good as Silvia does. So it seems that everybody can appreciate how beautiful she is.
