The Extended Borbon Family

Dear Sensibility,
Thank you for sharing these awesome photos!
I have seen a Spanish TV miniseries 'Alfonso el principe maldito' recently. I was impressed greatly with the story of the Duke of Cadiz's family.
Have you seen this miniseries? How close is the series' storyline to the real Carmencita's life? Did she really bring bad luck into her family?
Thanks a lot!:flowers:

Dear Kasumi,
I watched that program too. I think it is a nice work but unfortunatly it was really far of the real life, I am close to Franco family because of familiar links and there´re facts that never happened as Maria del Carmen says. On Tv has appeared people like Mirta Miller or Mercedes Harto who has talked about the tv serie of Duke of Cadiz. All of they say that the storie that the production tell isn´t true at all.

Some facts are:
- Jaime Rivera never stayed at Pardo Palace.
- Alfonso never met Jaime Riviera.
- Carmen were in Stockholm for a familiar visit to Nordic countries and they stayed at the Stockholm Embassy but her interest isn´t visit Alfonso.
etc etc

Hugs..

I would love to see the Hormigas Blancas tv program about Carmen but I can´t find it.
Do you know how to watch it?

Really I am reading things that do not correspond to the reality I watch every day at tv.

Carmen Martínez Bordiu is a personage who goes to the televisions and the magazines selling her private life. She does not have problems in going to the most yellow programs to sell her intimacy, for example to discuss if her husband has gone with a prostitute. And only for money. If at some time she had class, she has lost it totally. Her scandals, those of her husband, those of her brothers, speak about the dictator grandfather ... any opportunity is good to earn money.

I really do not think a forum on the Spanish monarchy, is most appropriate to talk about her. She was married to a Bourbon, but that was long ago. Nor a forum to speak about the history of the Family Martinea Bordiu Franco ... probably Luis Alfonso forum is more appropriate.

I am sorry Lula, but I am not agree with you in that fact. She has always respected her siblings intimate and she never talks about her grandfather, the dictator Franco. That´s something that she always respect.

About the fact she sells her private life to tv, this is a democratic country in where all people can sells everything. She talked about that prostited for defend her honour, i think that´s all.

When she starts to dance in a tv program all changed, she start to be funnier and i love that on her, don´t you.

And finally, in conextion with your last opinion about this forum, I respect your opinion but we shouldn´t forget that she could has became in the queen of Spain if her grandfather would has changed her decisition. She has always been stunning! i love her and i think a lot of people in this forum too.

He was the only one of Alfonso XIII's illegitimate children to have the King officially acknowledged as his father, wasn't he?

He had to do so through the Spanish Courts in May 2003,I don't think he had any relationship with the Spanish Royal Family.

:previous: From what I have read, he had a pretty descent relationship with his half brother. He had a tutor and education paid for by his father growing up though not recognized back then.

Don Juan, Count of Barcelona, not only was aware of the existence of a bastard brother, but was always temporizing with Leandro. He even had him certain courtesies, such as invite some family celebrations, including their golden wedding, probably to avoid the scandal that became known the existence of this illegitimate Bourbon. Behavior that also exhibited his son Juan Carlos especially at the beginning of his reign, as recognized Leandro own, especially in the period when Sabino Fernández Campo served as Head of His House. "When we give him a hug, call me uncle and even when princesses Elena and Cristina were small, I went to Zarzuela to know them and the King said, "Girls, give a kiss to your uncle Leandro".

It seems things soured after the death of JC's mother Maria Mercedes in 2000. It led eventually to him publishing a book about his paternity and the eventual paternity suit.

:previous:

The bride is only born in 1993. Another article with additional photos:

https://www.bekia.es/realeza/noticias/maria-borbon-escriva-romani-boda-ausencia-reyes-emeritos/

The bride's maternal grandfather was Luis Escrivá de Romani y Patiño, the 9th Conde de Glimes de Brabante. His elder brother Ildefonso Escrivá de Romaní y Patiño, 10th marquess de Aguilar de Ebro was married to Dona Maria de las Nieves de Mora y Aragon, sister of the late Queen Fabiola of the Belgians.

Princess Antonella d'Orleans attended the Red Cross Ball in Monaco yesterday, July 26:

How terribly sad,her mother Beatrice Wilhelmine Paula von Hardenberg is a daughter of Princess Maria Josepha of Fürstenberg and married the duke of Seville in 1973,however the marriage ended in divorce in 1989.

Very, very sad news...
Condolences to her parents, siblings and nephews.

I read this story earlier and I wondered if this woman was related to the Royal Borbons...very sad.

Pretty distantly. Her three times great grandfather, the first duke was the brother in law of Isabella II. And was a grandson of Charles IV. Her maternal grandmother was the Aunt of the current head of the house of Furstenberg, Heinrich (sister of his late father Joachim).

Truly sad news for her parents and the rest of the family.

So young! Very sad indeed.

Was it a car accident or an "accident" aka death by misadventure?

Her family have not revealed the cause of her death,Cristina de Borbón unlike her older sister Olivia de Borbón more or less lived out of the media limelight.

The wording is indeed a bit strange. It could range from a traffic accident (in which case I would expect them to clarify that) to suicide. They also disclosed that her family was with her in the hospital when she passed away.

The Duke of Seville will preside over a Memorial Mass for his late daughter ,Doña Cristina de Borbón y von Hardenberg at the Dominicas Reales de Madrid next month.

Oh, it's so sad!

Condolences to his parents and girlfriend...

May he rest in peace...
