The Royal Court Parish at its Instagram about the Peace for Prayer yesterday
The Royal Couple and the Crown Princess Couple participated in a Prayer for Peace at the Royal Chapel. The Prayer for Peace was led Michael Bjerkhagen, pastor of the Court Parish, and began with lighting candles. Music was played by court organist Mary Ljungquist Hén.
The pastor said that prayer is an important resistance movement through difficulties, and that the lent period that we are now in during the church year, reminds us that the me myself must resign in favor of fellow human beings. And now especially our suffering sisters and brothers in Ukraine.
He also reminded that central to lent is the struggle between good and evil. We must not shy away from evil, but dare to recognize it and fight against it. Jesus Christ has given us the image that light is always stronger than darkness, life stronger than death, and that God's good fight will triumph over evil and destruction.
