Why is it that Queen Letizia is not popular with the Spanish people. I have seen similar comments but never fully understood the reason.

I remember when we had her first events with Felipe and to this day, I recall all it took was one simple misstep during an interview, she got interrupted by a talkative Felipe and she told him "Let me speak..." and our Spanish press went ballistic against her. There was also a lot of aggression from a sector in Spain that wanted a blue-blooded princess, so her humble middle-class family was attacked on the news for no reason.
