Hi Lyonnaise, the arabs (even before Prophet Mohamed) loved horses. The Arabian horse has been a source of pleasure to men at all other times. The arabs love to have the Arabian horse, and it played an extremely important role in their life. Horses were considered as precious animal/thing to own and men were proud to own it, as much as possible and the best as possible.
And for children it was a must to learn how to ride a horse, at very young age.
Color preference was and still a good material for argument among Arabian horse breeders, as it is with most other horsemen. Very light colors, such as palominos, were not popular. The Arabian horses are classified
as a distinct sub-species having characteristics differentiating it from other horse breeds. The differences are in the skeleton, conformation, courage, endurance and intelligence of the horse and these distinguish the arabian horse wherever it is found.
Now I guess only royals (in arab countries) who ride most the horses, since owning a horse(s) costs a lot.
So there are many reasons why anybody can love horses specially the Arabian ones as Haya and Mo do
Biritish does as well ...
