King holds talks with Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, meets Saudi crown prince in Riyadh

Riyadh, Dec 12 (Petra) ––His Majesty King Abdullah held talks with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
Discussions focused on the developments related to Jerusalem, and the dangerous implications of the United States decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and move its embassy there.
At the meeting, attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and senior officials on both sides, discussions covered regional issues and the deep-rooted, historical ties that Jordan and Saudi Arabia share.

I would not say he's too young, but yes, but with his age he could continue exercising. I do not speak Arabic, so I do not understand the statement. Did he give any reason about his retirement?

He did not give any reason for this decision. In his letter, Prince Ali stated that he had been informed of his retirement from the Jordanian Armed Forces, which means that he did not seek to leave the army. He talked proudly about his service with the Special Forces & later with the royal guards following the death of his father the late King Hussein. He also expressed thanks to his comrades and JAF for the invaluable experience he had gained throughout military service.

At the end of the letter, the prince pledged to remain loyal to Army and to his brother King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

Sounds as if it wasn't voluntary. Any idea what might be behind this move?

is it true that princes faisal and talal bin mohammed were also removed?

Yes, true. Both prince Feisal Bin Al Hussein & Prince Talal Bin Mohammad were referred to retirement along with prince Ali. The Jordanian press published this morning the letters sent by king Abdullah II to each of them.

King sends letters to princes Feisal, Ali, Talal after retirement from army

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday voiced his gratitude for Their Royal Highnesses Prince Feisal, Prince Ali and Prince Talal for their distinguished military services in three letters after they were referred to retirement from the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF).

Very very interesting.

I wonder what was/is the motive behind the move.

very very intersting indeed it's clear from Prince Ali post he (maybe the other princes to) was pushed to live the army and i wonder what is happening

What is happening in Jordan? Ali and Feisal removed from the army and Hamzah with a new role (I do not know exactly which). Everything has been without warning. Very strange that Ali did not even see his retirement coming. What do you think?
