The court tells in a press release, that Estelle starts on 21st August her preschool class at Campus Manilla School in Royal Djurgården.
A photo opportunity will be held on Tuesday 21 August for limited Swedish media.

WOW, those are such beautiful photos of Estelle and Oscar. I love the one of Estelle showing her little brother the tulip (?); she looks so happy to be teaching her brother something about nature and Oscar looks really curious! The quality is great and I really love the way they've been focused so the lighting really has an effect.
Estelle and Oscar seem to be happy children and I can imagine that Estelle loves being a big sister and is very caring towards her younger brother. Victoria, Carl Philip and Madeleine all seem quite close to one another and never seem to have many rifts as much as some other RFs do (or at least, disputes that are not released publicly). They seem to be a peaceful and loving family.

Expressen's royal expert Elias Giertz talks with reporter Lisah Silfwer at Expressen's royal TV-program "Kungafamiljen".
Silfwer says that the icehockey world champions were celebrated at the Palace and Estelle and Oscar were there and we got some cute photos. Giertz says that it is difficult to see, but he thinks we will see Estelle more and more with her mother or father at work events, later on at some more "difficult" work events. If I remember it correctly Victoria's first solo engagement involved planting a tree on a school trip. Then some time late she were present at the greeting of guests at a banquet wearing a giant bow at her waist and picking up a flash bulb (remember those) that a journalist had dropped. Afterwards it was told that the Queen was especially pleased with the latter and as we've seen it's very typical of Victoria.

The court told in a press release in May, that Estelle starts on 21st August her preschool class at Campus Manilla School in Royal Djurgården.

During the last days the swedish press has told about a conflict at the school.

An infected conflict is based on Princess Estelle's future school Campus Manilla. The principal has been forced out and parents are upset, reports Dagens Nyheter. Now Svensk Damtidning can reveal that one of Sweden's most influential families of finance chooses to move their children from the school.
It was in mid-May Svensk Damtidning could tell that Princess Estelle would start in pre-school class at Campus Manilla. It was a news court also confirmed.
The school was considered perfect for the princess, as they have compulsory dance in preschool classes and private cooks who cook the school food.
The school located on scenic Djurgården is considered one of Sweden's most prestigious schools and has one of the longest queues in the country. Both people from senior business families and friends of the royal family have their children at the school.
But now it storms around Campus Manilla.
A conflict between the leaders, board and influential families has escalated after the firing of Maija Möller Grimakova, the principal. Parents who have donated millions to school require the principal to be reinstated - and that the board leaves, writes Dagens Nyheter.
The conflict and the crisis should not have anything to do with Princess Estelle to start school after the summer. And the court, who does not comment on the conflict itself, ensures that the plans for the princess's school start are fixed.
Crown Princess Victoria, Princess Madeleine and Prince Carl Philip spent most of their years in primary school at another private school - Carlsson's school at Östermalm in Stockholm. Even there is a huge queue to the school.

Estelle and Oscar have their cousins Hedvig and Vera, and other children of the families of Daniel's relatives. And of course Victoria and Daniel's friends from Daniel's side have children too with whom Estelle and Oscar interact.

Hopefully they can handle school things. Anyway, has school any experience about dyslexia in case that Estelle has that? Victoria, Carl-Philip and the king has dyslexia so I wouldn't be surprised if Estelle has same case.

I'm sure that Victoria and Daniel get help from queen Silvia, if either of their children would have dyslexia, same goes to Carl Philip's children. Queen Silvia found the ways to help her children. Also countess Marianne Bernadotte has a lot of knowledge about dyslexia, and I'm sure that Victoria and Daniel would get help from the Marianne Bernadotte Centrum, the research center at Karolinska Institutet with the aim of promoting and supporting research in childcare and dyslexia.

It seems more likely there is simple general concern one or more of the grandchildren may suffer from dyslexia due to the family history.

Oscar is barely 2. Even to start exhibiting early signs of dyslexia, that would be quite young. Generally it would be around 3 for most doctors to voice concerns. Estelle at 6 on the other hand is at an age where she would be showing evident signs, and a doctor would classify it.

The family has plenty of experience with it. And the resources to help any of the kids who may have it.

According to Svensk Damtidning, the school wants to ensure that Estelle will start her school there. The new chairman of the Board of the School is Johan Nordenfalk, a friend of the royal family. Johan Nordenfalk is a lawyer, who is part of the circles Victoria and Daniel are. He goes to the same dinners and parties and is liked. Since 2013, when the school started, it has become as one of the finest schools in Stockholm. Campus Manilla is both primary and secondary school, so the thought is probably that Estelle will go to school for a long time to come. The school is called a two-level school, ie there are two classes per year course and the primary school has about 500 students.
The Crown Princess couple has chosen this school for Estelle for various reasons. She will not only move in "right circles", the school is also close to nature.
Campus Manilla has also dance as a compulsory element in the pre-school class schedule up to the third class, something that fits the little princess perfectly. For some time, she has taken dance lessons at Base23. The school offers a lot of creative creativity. "Our morning gatherings are a mix of student performances, classical music and choir singing. No. It is a normal school, the children go there in the morning and after the school day they get back home. It's about 10 kilometers from Haga Palace to Campus Manilla.

We spoke about that a few pages back. It seems to be a "free" school. If I get it right, private and public are not really fitting categories for the Swedish system.

This sum is payed out to whatever school they choose. The three schools above are so called friskolor "free schools" and run by different foundations although some free schools are run as businesses. The business run schools & business run care facilities, hospitals etc are at the moment a big issue in Swedish politics with the views of the politicians divided by party lines but in the general public about 75% of the public is against running schools for profit.
Besides that putting your child in a free school is not uncommon in Sweden and mostly uncontroversial.
20% of kids attending preschool are in a free school, 15% are in primary free school & 25% are in high (16-19 years) free schools.

That's right, a free school is privately owned. That said the schools in Sweden are run by the local communities and not by the state.

The 31st August is the last day as the governor of Östergötland for Elisabeth Nilsson, after eight years.
She gave an interview to Svensk Damtidning and in the interview she reminisced Estelle becoming the duchess of Östergötland and Estelle's visit in 2014.
Elisabeth Nilsson:
- We became both glad and suprised when we became the duchy for the little princess. We thought about a suitable present, and chose Estelle's Fairytale Path at Tåkern's Naturum. She was only just over two years old when she inaugurated the Fairytale Path, but she was so alert. She run at her own Path and searched Hasse Hare, a cardboard figure from a fairytale, and then she met a new fairytale figure, a frog with a crown, which called "kiss me, kiss me!". But the little princess didn't want to do that.
Princess Estelle has got her own beautiful salon with dark pink walls, yellow curtains and a stylish tile stove to the Linköping Castle. She also has an own bedroom, where a teddy bear in one bed welcomes a small child. But so far, she has not stayed there overnight, but the room is used instead by the aide-de-camp if needed.
- The Crown Princess was also here on her province hike last autumn and Prince Daniel has been here for our cooperation with The Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, he is a good representative of entrepreneurship, says Elisabeth Nilsson.

Estelle first day at preschool class

The children and parents have gathered together to meet eachother and the teachers. There is a lot of media to follow Estelle's first school day. Victoria and Daniel talked relaxed with the other parents and Estelle talked with other children. She was very happy and seemed to know many of the children already.

Estelle and her new school mates dance the popular flossa-dance. The children go to the train. Estelle smiles and radiates happiness. A reporter calls "Good luck to school" and Estelle answers politely "Thank you" and smiles. When the train arrives at the school, the new pre-school class students will go hand in hand with two high school students up the stairs. The school has students from preschool to upper secondary school. All families at school have been informed that there will be great attention about Estelle's school start with much media in place.

TV4's reporter tells that the media were promised that Estelle would sit at the train in a place where she could be well photographed. She sat at one place but was moved to the back of the train. A SÄPO-guard sat beside the driver. This train is from Skansen.

On August 21, Princess Estelle started in pre-school class at Campus Manilla's primary school at Djurgården in Stockholm.
The princess was followed to the school start by the Crown Princess and Prince Daniel.
Below the school building, the Princess and her classmates were welcomed to the school by the older students, and then accompanied by upper sedondary school students to the schoolyard where the rector held talks and the national anthem was sung.
Then the Princess visited her classroom together with her new classmates.
