Letizia wins for spate of goals

The Princess rejoins to the official life

MARIÁNGEL ALCÁZAR - 01/02/2006
Barcelona

In the night of the sport, the princess Letizia beat her own record. Yesterday, to nine o'clock in the night, in Catalunya's Palau de Congressos, the expectation for seeing again in assets the princess of Asturias went of those who are in the habit of giving before the big sports events. Dona Letizia won for spate of goals before beginning the party when, after the Prince, she greeted Javier Godó, count of Godó and president of Sports World, and to Santi Nolla, the director of the diary. Don Felipe, Olympic in Barcelona and active entertainer of the Spanish sport, represented, with face of unattainable fan to the despondency, to dona Letizia's reappearance after her maternal fall. In her first official act after the childbirth, dona Letizia released hairdo - gathered from curls - and illuminated a set of black garment and waisted coat of air retro in wild silk. The Princes were present at the honoring hundred emblematic sportsmen with which the show of the centenary began. As the majority of more than than thousand persons attendees, don Felipe and dona Letizia they applauded the tenderness of Pele, Ángel Nieto's veteranía, the witness of Arantxa Sanchez Vicario and the force of Rafael Nadal.

The presentation of the show and the unpayable humorous commentaries - included one modal the good Catalan that the Prince speaks - was traversed by them at the expense of Santi Millán. The actor had as prompter the voice in off of another member of The Terrat, the Trouble-maker, who reproached Millán to have forgotten to congratulate don Felipe, who last Monday expired 38 years. Millán put in a brete to I Peeled and to others honoured on having asked them to start singing Happy birthday to the Prince and everything stayed in a very celebrated joke.

At the end of the act of honoring, the Princes, Javier Godó and Santi Nolla posed for the today front page of Mundo Deportivo together with fifteen of the honoured figures. Them also he was meeting, in his double condition of sportsman and member of the royal family, the ex-player of handball Iñaki Urdangarin.
When some weeks ago the secretary of the Prince included definitively in the official agenda the assistance of don Felipe to the show of the centenary of Mundo Deporivo, dona Letizia expressed her desire to accompany him, in view of the significant of the date and the special links of don Felipe to the world of the sport. At first it was foreseen that dona Letizia was concluding her maternal fall next week on the occasion of the trip of the Prince to Bulgaria for the inauguration of the Institute Cervantes de Sofía.

Yesterday, the Princes came to the airport of The Prat towards the 20.30 h, proceeding from Madrid, to where they returned in the dawn after finishing the dinner that closed the show of the centenary.

Letizia looked absolutely fantastic, pity we don't have any back photo of her hairdo. And what colour was eventually this outfit? on some pics it was black, on the others- brown.

For the commentary of the Alcazar (that surely was there) and apparently in television it is black. The photos are a bit bad, I imagine that for the lights, and for the flashes of the photographers.;)

Princess Letizia radiant

The princess of Asturias chose for the occasion a fit black dress that accentuated his more than recovered silhouette and shone a pretty one gathered that finalized in a braid.
In order to finalize the act, Don Felipe and Doña Letizia were photographed in the scene of the Palace of Congresses of Catalonia next to a representation of the great sportsmen of the last century, between which was Iñaki Urdangarín.
Specially touching it was the encounter between the Duke of Palm and his brother-in-law, the prince of Asturias, with that was embraced in a tender gesture of complicity. The great absentee that night was the infant Doña Cristina, who could not accompany to her husband in this touching recognition.
The anecdote at night wine of hand of the equipment of the program of Buenafuente, that sang the ' happy birthday' to the Prince. After the supper, he and the Princess left the enclosure accompanied by the count of Godó and said to the journalists good night.

I agree with those who thought Princess Letizia looked splendid at this event. As a whole I find them, as a couple, very sophisticated.

Princess Letizia has returned. Last night in Barcelona, she retook her institutional activity, just three months after the birth of her first-born, Infanta Leonor. Her awaited return to the official life, after her maternity leave, was surrounded by an enormous expectancy, emotion and elegance. Doña Letizia, who was radiating with a curly hairdo and a black coat and dress, presided, along with her husband Felipe de Borbón, over the gala which the paper Mundo Deportivo commemorated its centenary with.

Next to the Princes, almost 1000 guests were gathered in the Palau de Congressos, among them the Duke of Palma. Don Felipe, who pronounced a bilingual speech (Catalan-Castilian), for which he received a great ovation, emphasized the importance of the sport as a "coexistence school" and praised Barcelona and Catalonia for its "modernity example and vitality, impelled by its rich cultural tradition and a dynamic society".

The Prince of Asturias also showed his satisfaction to preside over these commemorative acts, both "as a sportsman, who had the opportunity to participate in the Olympic Games of Barcelona, and in my quality of Prince, because the media are an essential pillar of Democracy".

The guests enjoyed a dinner served by Ferran Adrià, one of the world’s greatest cooks. At the end of the celebration, Don Felipe and Doña Letizia posed with Javier Godó (Mundo Deportivo’s president), Santi Nolla (director of the newspaper) and the honoured personalities. The Princes returned to Madrid at daybreak.

i know... this has happened before. but before (several weeks ago), they changed from their usual heavy watermarked photos to tiny unwatermark pictures, but switched back again to the heavy watermark but medium size photos. i don't know if this time it's permanent or not.

I'd just saw " GENTE " on TVE international and the princess of Asturias looked absolutly fabalous. The pictures are so bad by comparaison. In fact may be it's the light which was hidous. LETIZIA TREMENDOUS .
