May is also without "R" so not so lucky month to marry.
Oh, so the court released the date before it was completely agreed on?
I was just kidding I just think it´s fun that the court released the date before Christmas and htne Pss Madeleine posts this announcemnet like it was decided during ChristmasI think that Madeleine just published it today at her Facebook. As Bertil Ternert said, the date had been agreed in a family meeting with the king and the queen, and an official press release put to the court website on 23th December. If the press is right, Madeleine and Chris left Stockholm and spent Christmas with Chris' family in London.
The court has confirmed to Svensk Damtidning that the wedding will be a two day event with a welcoming dinner on 7th June. Svensk Damtidning also writes about 400 guests (at Estelle's christening at the same church there were about 500 guests)
Damtidning has asked from Bertil Ternert: "Can a british american get a title of a duke?"
Ternert answered: "The marshal of the Realm is just now figuring out this question".
And Damtidning thinks that this is a clear sign that the king wants to make his son-in-law the Duke of Hälsingland and Gästrikland.

I'm glad it'll be a 2 day event. Now I'm hoping for it to be broadcasted.
Royal Musings: Will Princess Madeleine's wedding be private?
I wouldn't be at all surprised if the wedding was small and private with very little television coverage.
Because it's not a Swedish wedding tradition that the father of the bride walks his daughter to the altar, the tradition here is that bride and groom walk together up to the altar. There was a lot of criticism here in Sweden when Victoria wanted her father to walk her up to the altar, both from priests and the public, as it was seen as dated and giving the impression that the father hands his daughter to the husband as a piece of property, something that has no place in a society where equality between man and women is important. I do hope Madeleine doesn't choose to have her father walk her to the altar, if that's what she wants she could as well get married in the U.S. and follow American traditions, instead of trying to impose them into a Swedish wedding tradition. Why would the king not escort his daughter down the aisle? This makes no sense to me!

According to Svensk Damtidning Madeleine has chosen major general Håkan Pettersson to the official wedding coordinator. Pettersson was the official wedding coordinator at Victoria's and Daniel's wedding, and everyone, including Victoria and Daniel, were very satisfied with his work.
About the guestlist, Madeleine used the word "nog" which has a bit of uncertainty in it, so I would guess the guest list is more or less done, but there are still a few decisions to make.so the guestlist is done, why wait until April 1st to send them?
does Madeleine have godchildren? if yes, some of them might be the flower girls, since she said she will have children like her mother and sister had.
As far as I know Madeleine (and Carl Philip) are only godparents to the one each of the twin girls born in 2008 to their cousin Patrik Sommerlath. Even if Madeleine doesn't have any more godchildren there are a number of children in different ages among her cousins to choose from, and probably also among Chris' side too.
