The Feast of the Epiphany is a Christian Holiday which marks when the Three Kings came to the manger to give gifts to the baby Jesus.saxon said:what is Epiphany celebrations?....
In Spain, as in many Latin countries, it is the day that children are traditionally given gifts--brought by the three kings or the three wise men. I believe that in the Orthodox Christian tradition it is also of great importance.
The "Pascua Militar" that these photos are from has been celebrated in Spain since 1782. The Spanish Military won an important battle on the island of Mallorca on the Feast of the Epiphany in 1782, and the King, Carlos III, declared that henceforth the military would be honored on his day. And so it is. In contemporary Spain, the King often gives one of his most important speeches of the year at this event--as he did this year.
