The king was yet again over shouted by ‘protestors’ , this time antisemites who thought it was a good idea to share their filth during the opining of this museum. Shameful behavior which was allowed by the mayor and police of Amsterdam. They should never have been allowed to demonstrate so close to the museum.

How dreadful

There were lots of boo´s as well, also directed at the King. he opened the museum together with president Herzog of Israel. The protestors wanted him to stay absent. Prinsjesdag/ opening of parlament was this year overshadowed by boo's from extreme-right farmers while the year before it were the COVID conspiracy people who were boo-ing.

Are the protectors antisemitic or Pro-Palestinian supporters in the on-going Israeli-Palestinian conflict?

A mix of the two it seems. And some were audibly not pro-Palestinian but pro-Hamas, shouting all sorts of shocking things. It could all be heard in the museum where survivors gathered and they could hear people wishing them dead/gassed. It was a grave mistake to allow this protest so close to the museum.

While on a visit to a charity in Zutphen the King was told by a girl that she'd seen a photo of him as a child. He quickly replied that it had not been photoshopped 💅😂
It's probably just me, but I don't find that funny at all.
And I don't think the Princess of Wales would too - being mocked by a king of a nearby country.

I loved the reply. And got a good laugh out of it. I think in the whole disaster it was probably one of the best comments. A moment of comic relief. And in these dark times we can use every laugh we can get.

As long as it's not about something, that really isn't laughable, of course. Jokes about the Princess' sickness are a no-go, of course, but the photoshop incident she brought upon herself. And humor is still much better than any negative feelings.

best wishes Michiru

He also had a phone conversation with the chair of the Second Chamber who informed him about the latest developments in the cabinet/government formation.

Yesterday the Second Chamber had a debate about the report by Kim Putters the previous informateur (not sure what the best translation in English would be; he is like a process supervisor during government formations). He advised to continue with the four parties that have been negotiating since the election and to work towards a 'program cabinet' that only makes some guidelines and decisions at a high level and lets the ministers work it out. The most important result of the previous phase was that all party leaders agreed not to become a member of government but remain in parliament (in the Netherlands you cannot remain in parliament if you become a minister or secretary of state - which imho makes sense because otherwise you would need to check yourself). Today two new informateurs started their work; they are expected to fulfill their task of reaching an agreement about the formation of program cabinet, including the agreed program itself, in 8 weeks.
