Here are a few more pictures from yesterday, 7 September, when the King and Queen paid a visit to Värmdö municipality in Stockholm County. From Fotomarktplatz.

The Queen looks fab! I love these pics of her!

It seems like verybody has been returning forever to the subject of the Queen having had plastic surgery, but after looking at her close-up exposed in very harsh sunshine, I believe that only the rumour about her having had something done around her eyes at one point in the past might be true.
To me, she looks like a very attractive 60-year-old woman who manages to maintain a great figure. No full face-lift or anything like it detectable, IMO. She always was and remains at her age a beautiful & photogenic woman - I believe it's as simple as that.

Today, 8 September, the King and Queen visited Värmland County where they undertook several official visits. Here we see them attending the jubilee service in honour of the Stavnäs Church's 300th jubilee, held by the bishop whom is also in the pictures, and drinking something from a viking horn which they tried as they were visiting a viking ship.

Here are a few more of the King and Queen's visit to the municipality of Värmdö in Stockholm County yesterday, 7 September. A very nice close-up of the Queen's accessories, and a rather funny one showing the King's efforts to get off the boat... :D

Stavnäs is in Klässbol I think, the same town which has given the name to the Klässbols linnen mill which the King and Queen also visited. I'm not sure of the closest bigger town though. Ingesund is near Arvika, one of Värmland's bigger cities.

The king of Sweden, indicated like unfaithful javascript:AddClip('20050913elpepiage_2.Tes')

BROWN RICARDO - STOCKHOLM
THE COUNTRY - People - 13-09-2005

An advertising poster of the newspaper Aftonbladet, the one of greater circulation of Sweden, in which it is attributed to the king Carlos Gustavo[/b] to have been unfaithful to its wife, the queen Silvia, it has caused the reaction of the Real House, that studies the possibility of presenting/displaying some judicial demand. The poster at issue, in which with heavy visible characters for any passer-by the information occurred, that it provoked great curiosity in the public, said in very small letter that such affirmation had been formulated by another publication, a magazine that takes care of worldly subjects. But in its inner pages, well outstanding, the mentioned newspaper related the supposed maritally adventures of the king with three known figures the artistic and cultural atmosphere. The person in charge of press of the Real House, Ann Christine Jenberg, it commented contemptuously that one was a information of "very low level". Adding that the "small letter" in Aftonbladet mentioning the source of the information it did difficult to obtain a sentence. However, the lawyer of the Real House, Bengt Ljungkvist, that it already served its to judge to German publications to defame the princess Victory, that it was informed into the case, said it still not to have studied. But it did not discard a criminal action. On the other hand, the director of the newspaper, Anders Gerdin, it defended the right to the publication of the article, describing it like a "correct decision".

There are no pictures from this event in this week's issue...

Nothing about it was true!

What is this about the king being unfaithful? please explain

Nothing about it was true! The newspaper ”Aftonbladet” review to an articel in ”Solo”. It was clear that it all was about tittle-tattle (gossip) but Aftonbladet still made news bills. The Royal court comment on it thru Ann-Christin Ljungberg (spokesperson) they consider tune or boycotting the newspaper Aftonbladet. Stig Hadenius, professor in journalistic, also condemn the article.

oh ok thx for clearing that up for me karisma, i knew carl gustav wouldn't do something like that

Announcement from the TRF Team:

In an effort to conserve bandwidth, the TRF Team is making some changes to how News and Picture threads are being organized, which you may have noticed is already being made in some forums.

From this point forward, please be aware that the only images that will be allowed to be attached directly to the forum will be those of current activities of the royals, which can be posted in the Current Events threads.

Instead of posting a dozen or more pictures, please try to select a few pictures that best describe the event/occasion. Aim to conserve. Think quality not quantity.

If you wish to post pictures of events that happened a few years ago or older images of various royals, please do so in the Picture threads via a private image hosting account such as Photobucket or Imageshack.

Please note that older images which are attached directly to the forum are subject to removal by an Administrator or SuperModerator without notice to the member.

Thank you for your co-operation on this matter so that we can all continue to enjoy images of our favourite royals.

The Queen has been awarded with "The 2005 Award for Distinguished Service to the Field of Psychogeriatrics in the Congress Host Country" by the International Psychogeriatric Association, which holds their conference in Stockholm next week (and which the Queen will open and attend). She has been chosen for her support to education about dementia. The prize, which she shares with Professor Astrid Norberg from Umeå University, will be awarded during the congress next week.

The Swedish royals certainly get invited to -- not to mention throw -- a lot of fun parties! The costume party of the King's nephew late in the summer and now this Carribean/South Pacific-themed party. Not to mention the King and Queen's anniversary party with the guests in period costumes, too. Beats showing up just in jeans and a T-shirt!

Yes she was...
The article says:
Silvia was wearing a dress and a huge carribean-inspired necklace

In which town was the party? It's great private pictures.
But I find it is better we can see pictures from official terms (state visit from Malaysia or concert and awards...) as pictures from private life.
Sorry for my bad English!
