A thought for Prince Henrik, that larger than life personality, who left us 5 years ago.

Qu'il repose en paix. ⭐

Is there any photo of the place where Prince Henrik was buried?

The Prince was cremated. Half of his ashes were scattered in the sea, the other half in the gardens of Fredensborg.

Those 5 years have flown by ,do the Danish RF observe Memorial Services?

Is it the family's tradition to hold five-year memorial services? I remember one for Queen Ingrid at 10 or 20 years, but that's all I can recall.

Here's a sweet tribute video that showcases what a great family man he was. Though he wasn't always the most tactful about voicing his discontent with his title it's clear that he was very much a good husband, dad, grandpa, and first gentleman. I like that he went out of his way to make his funeral special for his wife and found a compromise about his burial even though he still chose to not be buried with her (which I don't necessarily agree with but he is entitled to be buried where he wishes). I also like that Margrethe wasn't afraid to openly cry at her husband's funeral, being royal shouldn't mean that you can't show normal human emotions. She apparently also cried when giving her first speech after the death of her father. I feel the same about Prince Edward openly crying at his mother's funeral.
