King’s Feast Celebrated in Belgium
The annual King’s Feast celebration has taken place in Belgium today, with King Albert, Queen Paola, Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz attending the Te Deum at the Cathédrale des Saints-Michel-et-Gudule.
Security was heightened due to the recent attacks in Paris, but that didn’t stop the royal family from greeting the crowd of one hundred that waited outside the cathedral once the service, led by Archbishop André-Jospeh Léonard, which honours the Belgian monarch and has taken place since 1866.

Later in the day, the royals stopped by federal parliament for a reception to mark the day.
