With less than two days to go until the royal wedding in Sweden, let’s take a quick look-back at the weddings of Prince Carl Philip’s sisters, Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Madeleine.

The heir to the throne married Daniel Westling on June 19, 2010 at the Storkyrkan in a ceremony officiated by the Archbishop of Uppsala. The couple’s decade-long courtship was celebrated by over 1,000 guests from across Europe and the world.

After their emotional wedding ceremony, Victoria and Daniel travelled the streets of Stockholm in an open carriage before heading to the Royal Palace aboard the royal barge Vasaorden. Their guests gathered on the Palace balconies to welcome them, cheering loudly when they stepped off the barge. The bridal couple, accompanied by the King and Queen, made a brief appearance on the Palace balcony, where the King led a cheer for the pair and Victoria thanked the Swedish people for “giving me my Prince.

A wedding reception was held that evening in the Hall of State for 600 guests.

Victoria wore a gown designed by Pär Engsheden, made of white duchess satin featuring a simple off-the-shoulder design and a five-meter train. The Cameo Tiara sat on her head, anchoring Queen Sofia’s lace veil.

The youngest child of the Swedish King and Queen wed British-American financier Christopher O’Neill on June 8, 2013. The couple, who met in New York City, were married at the Palace Chapel of the Royal Palace of Stockholm in front of several hundred guests. The Chief Court Chaplain of the Royal Court, Bishop Emeritus Lars-Göran Lönnermark, officiated the ceremony, during which the groom fought back tears.

Before they departed on their cortege through Stockholm, Madeleine and Chris went out into the courtyard of the Palace to greet well-wishers. A private wedding reception was hosted by the King and Queen at Drottningholm Palace, guests travelling across the water on boats, where a tower of macarons served as the wedding cake.

Princess Madeleine wore a custom Valentino Garavani wedding gown, featuring a short-sleeved, wide-neck bodice, a wide ball skirt and four metre train, all covered in ivory Chantilly lace. Her veil was anchored by the diamond Modern Fringe Tiara, a private piece of the Royal Family. It had orange blossoms around the base, and the Princess wore a piece of traditional myrtle in the centre of her hairdo. Madeleine carried a simple bouquet of white roses, lilies of the valley and myrtle from Sofiero.
