Duchess of Cambridge Attends Fourth Engagement Since Pregnancy Announcement

On November 8, the Duchess of Cambridge, along with her husband the Duke of Cambridge, attended her fourth engagement since the announcement that she was pregnant with her second child. Her last public appearance was at a gala for Action on Addiction.

The Duchess visited an oil refinery in Pembroke, Wales. The owners of the oil refinery, which was founded over fifty years ago, said it was an honour that the Duchess and her husband had visited. Prince William joked that the oil refinery was “nicely spruced up” for their arrival and that he could smell the paint.

The oil refinery processes 270,000 barrels of oil a day, and it also has a pipeline all the way to Manchester, as well as supplying over 10% of fuel for the United Kingdom.

During the visit, Kate wore a light blue Matthew Williamson coat dress.
