Princess Elisabeth, Duchess of Brabant Turns 12

Princess Elisabeth of Belgium, Duchess of Brabant turned 12 years old on October 25th. The future Queen of the Belgians is the eldest child of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of the Belgians.

The Princess was born at the Hôpital Erasme in Anderlecht, Brussels in 2001 and her full name is Élisabeth Thérèse Marie Hélène. Princess Elisabeth was baptised on December 9th, 2001 at the Royal Chapel of the Ciergnon Castle in the south of Belgium.

Since her father’s accession to the throne in July of this year, Princess Elisabeth became Duchess of Brabant, which is the traditional title of the heir apparent to the Belgian throne.
