Princess Eugenie, Jack Brooksbank and Family, Current Events 2: Sep 2022-

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I think there's a lot of interest in the York princesses, in Zara and Mike and to some extent in Peter. And most of it's very positive.

Given the large open spaces around them, perhaps it was taken at her parent's home, Royal Lodge? In any case, it looks to be the same location as shown in the photo announcing her second pregnancy.

I thought she might be due sooner than "early summer" ... I assume this means that she won't be able to attend the Coronation?

Why? Zara was at the wedding in mid-May for an early summer birth. Lena was born a month after the wedding (Harry's).

Early summer is from the 22nd June so at least six-seven weeks after the coronation. Many women would still be working full-time that far out from giving birth so no reason why Eugenie can't get into a dress, be driven to the Abbey, walk down the aisle, sit down and watch the ceremony, walk out again, drive home. Not a huge job to do compared to women who have a full day's work to do.

If she is 'due any minute' (per her mother), it is unlikely that the baby will be born after June 22. She might even have given birth before the coronation.

We'll see how literal the 'any minute' will turn out to be. However, at CP's wedding we've seen that pregnant women that are due any minute (or: day) can still attend high-profile royal events. However, is she is in labor or has just given birth she might have to send her apologies.

I was basing the 'June 22nd' on 'early summer' as per her pregnancy announcement.

If 'any minute' as per Sarah that would indicate that the 'early summer' was about two months out.

So who to believe - Eugenie' pregnancy announcement or Sarah?

I certainly don’t think that ‘early summer’ includes the beginning of May (or the end of April!) Imo ‘any minute now’ is probably one of Sarah’s airy fairy statements not meant to be taken literarily. I’ve got a feeling we’ll be seeing a heavily pregnant and rather uncomfortable Eugenie perched in a pew in WA on May 6th.

I was merely posting an assumption not a statement of fact. I do hope she will attend the coronation.

And I was responding to the assumption by explaining the time frame we are dealing with. The days of a woman not being able to attend an event due to being about to give birth are long gone.

Princess Madelaine attended her brother's wedding two days before she gave birth.

is this from the lunch she and Beatrice had with Piers Morgan, James Blunt, and a few other friends this week?

No, this is in Mayfair, on Mount Street, just outside the Audley Pub. The lunch with James Blunt and Piers Morgan was at the Princess Royal pub in Notting Hill a few days ago.

Hopefully Princess Eugenie makes the Coronation on Saturday.

Eugenie has given an interview for last week's issue of Spanish magazine Hola, mainly about her work for the Blue Marine Foundation:

"Priorities change when you have children, you want to do everything for them and for your grandchildren. August is only two years old, but I hope that what I'm doing inspires him and that one day he'll get involved too"

So how is she not a working royal. I really struggle with these definitions. She visits and supports charities giving them much needed publicity and even goes around and promotes them.

That is what the royals do. Are they just trying to con us?

No. They aren't trying try to con us so much as trying to portray a very, very fine line between "private patronages" and "official patronages" that hasn't really existed until the last couple of decades.

They need to do that partly to attempt to make sure the public understands that they aren't paying for Eugenie and Jack's lifestyle and now a lot because of Andrew, Harry and Meghan they need to draw a hard line under "working royals" vs "Princesses who just happen to be royals who just happen to have patronages who use "HRH Princess Eugenie" on their letterheads.

They aren't always successful, clearly. Since Rose, Bishop of Dover probably would not be present or interviewed if it was a similar local charity and that voiceover seriously sounded like a specific news reporter lending her talents to an ASC video.

I like that Eugenie is doing this and I like that she didn't make herself a big part of the clip at all. She let the people involved speak. Shows awareness.
