Her daughter Margaret was the second wife of King Edward I of England.

Marie was also one of the few French queens not to be buried at St Denis,instead her remains were interred at the now destroyed Couvent des Cordeliers de Paris,nothing survived the French Revolution.

Élisabeth d'Autriche was queen of France from the 26th of November 1570 until the 30th of May 1574 with the death of Charles IX .The queen lived quietly at the French court and completely over shadowed by her mother inlaw the queen Regent. Élisabeth left France in December 1575 and returned to Austria where she died aged 38 in 1592 and is buried at the ducal crypt of St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna.Her only child with Charles IX,Marie -Élisabeth de France died in 1578 aged just 4 years old.

Anne d'Autriche,queen and Regent of France died at the abbey of Val-de-Grâce,where her heart was buried at the church of Our Lady ,her remains were taken to St Denis and buried at the vault of the Bourbons.

The queen died at Cosenza whilst returning from the 8th Crusasde in Italy her remains were brought back to France and buried at St Denis,her burial was desecrated in August 1793.

Louise was buried at the now destroyed Couvent de Capuchins in Paris ,followings its demolition in the early 1800's her coffin was discovered and was reburied at St Denis during the Bourbon Restoration.

Charles IV ,king of France and Navarre died at the Château de Vincennes,his body was buried at St Denis beside his wife Jeanne d'Évreux,his entrails at L'abbaye de Maubuisson and heart at the now destroyed Église des Cordeliers de Paris.
 
On this day, February 2, 1660 ~ Demise of Gaston of France, Duke of Orleans, the son of King Henry IV
 
Gaston Jean Baptiste de France ,Duke of Orléans was also,Duke of Chartres,Duke of Valois,Duke of Anjou,Duke of Alençon,Comte de Blois all of which reverted to the crown upon his death.Louis XIV then confered the Duchy of Orléans on his younger brother Philippe de France.

Gaston was buried at the Basilica of St. Denis outside Paris ,on
October 15th ,1793 his burial was desecrated and his remains along with his wife,Marguerite were dumped in a bit outside.

On February 4th ,1505 : Death of Jeanne de France, Duchess de Berry,daughter of Louis XI and Charlotte de Savoie ,Jeanne was married off to the future Louis XII in 1476 whom he later repudiated and he then married Anne of Brittany.Soon after Jeanne now Duchess de Berry retired from public life and took the veil and founded the Order of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and opened her convent in 1500 in Bourges. Here Jeanne died and was buried at the chapel Couvent de l'Annonciade de Bourges.In 1562 rampaging Huguenots sacked Bourges and pillaged and desecrated Jeanne's burial,her remains were dragged out and set on fire and subsequently lost.

Jeanne de Bourbon'S death greatly affected her husband,Charles V.Her remains were buried at St Denis,whilst her heart at the Couvent des Cordeliers in Paris and her the Couvent des Célestins in Paris. Sadly neither of the tombs at the Parisian Célestins and Cordeliers do not survive as the Couvents were suppressed in 1790 and later plundered and destroyed during the Revolution.The St Denis burials of Jeanne de Bourbon and Charles V were desecrated on October 16th,1793.

On February 9th,1450 : Death of Agnès Sorel mistress of Charles VII of France.The king ordered 2 tombs for Agnes,her body was buried at the Collegiate church of Saint-Ours in Loches and her heart at the now destroyed Abbaye de Jumièges. The tomb of Agnes was desecrated and plundered in 1793 during the revolution ,soldiers even robbed her death and locks golden hair.The remains were gathered up and reburied during the Restoration.

On February 12th,1517 : The Death of Catherine Ier , Queen of Navarre,Duchess of Gandia, Montblanc, and Peñafiel, Countess of Foix,Bigorre, and Ribagorza, and Viscountess of Béarn,Marsan and Limoges.

Catherine was the great-grandmother of Henri IV of France ,she died at Mont-de-Marsan in France and is buried at Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption de Lescar.

At the time of his birth he was a great grandson of Louis XIV and had an older brother,Louis, Duke of Brittany.Louis was granted the dukedom of Anjou and at that time and was not thought he would ever become King of France.A series of consecutive deaths in the French Royal Family paved his way to the throne.

Louis, Grand Dauphin died in April 1711.
Louis, Duke of Burgundy died of measles in February 1712
Louis, Duke of Brittany died of measles in March 1712
Charles, Duke of Berry died in May 1714.
Louis XIV of France in September,1715.
