Thanks for the pictures Anna R

You're welcome Patrick

A small article from Hello: http://www.hellomagazine.com/royalty/2005/04/18/princenaruhito/
18 APRIL 2005

Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan seemed to have not a worry in the world when he met two of Europe's most popular couples at Togu Palace on Sunday.

The heir to the Chrysanthemum throne was a gracious host, smiling broadly while chatting with Denmark's crown prince and princess, Frederik and Mary, and their Dutch counterparts, Willem-Alexander and Maxima. However, there was one person noticably absent from the cordial gathering – Naruhito's own wife Masako, who remains in seclusion continuing her recovery from an "adjustment disorder".

Although pregnant Princess Maxima had announced she would cut back her official duties due to her expectant status last month, she appeared radiant and rested on the jaunt to Japan. The famously exuberant royal, whose second child is due in mid-July, was simply glowing in a soft gold trouser suit which matched the honey tone of her husband's necktie.

Equally elegant were Crown Prince Frederik and his Australian-born wife, who recently earned praise from her mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe. The monarch remarked that the newly-minted princess is doing a "great job".

Several pics from Belga...

Maxima seems to be favoring belted tops during her pregnancy, a wise choice in my opinion. Also, her hairstyle and highlights are very chic. Added to all this the glow of her pregnancy make her look wonderful.

Did anyone notice, WA is wearing a matching color tie as Maxima's clothes.:)

Does anyone know if members of European Royalty that are photographed greeting Prince Naruhito are also getting to visit with Princess Masako, away from the glare of the media? I want so much for this wonderful young woman to be getting better and am hoping she might be participating "behind the scenes" even if not photographed.

Great pictures everybody! Thanks for posting. :) I have to say, Maxima has really looked lovely lately. I'm really loving her new hair, I think it looks great on her, and her outfits are wonderful as well.

Thanks for the pics everyone! They seemed to be having a great time!

You beat me to the pic, QEII;) Never mind, here's two more.

Prince Willem Alexander and Princess Maxima with Japanese Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko attended the 2005 World Expo.

After two beautiful outfits, I am dissapointed in this third outfit at the Expo. I don't if its the bright colors or the wide hat. But, the whole ensemble looks very tacky.

I have to say the combo of the dress and green accessories did not work together. I think either would of been fine but just not together. But I give Maxima credit for Bold color choices.

I don't like the outfit or the hat. She is well put together though.

The pictures of a "animated", wacky Máxima next to the conservative Japanese royals are quite funny.

I like outfits Maxima wores that and hats not bad to match that dress but Maxima wanted to match that hats and Maternity outfit what Maxima chose!

Usually tweed patters like this one should mask additional bulge or weight as the pattern fools the eye, but this pattern seems to emphasize Maxima's pregnancy - which is not a bad thing but not Maxima's best look on this trip.

It´s a pity she cut off her beautiful long hair. She seems to be having a real trouble with keeping it neat and tidy since she cut it off and had it layered.
