King Philippe arrives by bicycle for a royal visit to the official opening of the academic year at the Universite Catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) university, in Louvain-la-Neuve, today13 September

"Walen buiten " was the Separation of KUL leuven and UCL Louvain and to day it is the commemoration of the first stone of the new french University.. They split the more than 500 years Library in 2, the Start was difficult but now the two Catholic Universities are working to gether on a perfect way.

The Young University of LLN has a great Rector Mr Vincent Blondee!.( left of the King)

Working visit of King Philippe to the Defense Staff in the Queen Elisabeth Quarter. The King is briefed on the strategic vision and action plans of Belgium Defence , as well as Operation Red Kite in Afghanistan and the various operations at sea and in Mali.

This afternoon, October 25, King Philippe has departed for a working visit to Denmark, to discuss employment and training strategies:

There's no indication that he will, not in the Danish calendar of events nor in the Belgian one. But maybe privately or they'll surprise us with some photos ;)

On October 26, the King and Ministers Dermagne, Crevits, Morreale and Clerfayt are received at the Danish Ministry of Employment (..) The delegation then visits Novo Nordisk (..), a pharmaceutical company which implements several key elements of the Danish model in its recruitment policy and vis-à-vis its employees. This visit is followed by a working lunch with the Danish trade union and employer confederations. The delegation then heads to Gladsaxe Town Hall, on the outskirts of Copenhagen, to see how Danish municipalities are supporting local employment and training. The day ends with a dinner with representatives of academia, think tanks and Danish economic players.
On October 27, the King and the ministers meet representatives of the Danish government and the Danish parliamentary committee in charge of employment.
