Summary of article in Billed Bladet #21, 2015.
Written by our man in Germany, Ulrik Ulriksen.
Due to BB's deadline, this covers the very beginning of the visit.
M&F arrived to a cool Hamburg in the morning and at the square in front of the townhall quite a lot of people had showed up and they predominantly wanted to see Mary, so with Frederik trailing behind, Mary went along the line of spectators, and received loads of flowers. So many in fact that she couldn't hold on to all of them and alas dropped some, but this is where the Danish Minister for Trade and Development, Mogens Jensen, was handy to have around. He helped her picking up the flowers.
This is a big-time trade offensive so not the government was represented but the Danish ambassador as well and he told our reporter: "There is a big focus on the Danish monarchy. The DRF is very popular in Germany and people are in particular fascinated and interested in the CP-couple who to a very high degree help give Denmark a good image.
In later years the CP-couple have been to Germany several times and each time with success. There were for instance in Berlin last year when the Crown Princess received (*) the Bambi Charity Award at a big gala and together with Princess Benedikte attended an equestrian competition in Aachen where they got full attention".
The ambassador adds that the German media interest is huge. (I'll leave it to our German friends here to confirm whether that is correct or not).
It isn't just Frederik who if fond of holding his wife's popo. There is a picture in the article where Mary clearly has put her hand on her husbands...ehh... rear pocket.
Mrs. Muhler has told me that she and I think that while Mary was very stylish during the visit, the jumpsuit, or whatever it's called, was a miss.
(*) Thank god for spell check! Why oh why is received spelled with ei while friends is with ie?

The rule: I before E except after C! Don't you just love the peculiarities of English as it's written.

 Thanks, Marg
Here is a particularly nice pic of Mary in München from Bild: http://bilder.bild.de/fotos-skaliert...0,c=0.bild.jpg
The article: http://www.bild.de/regional/muenchen...2492.bild.html
A video. That's an impressive escort! http://www.bild.de/regional/muenchen...6452.bild.html
BB reports that Mary visited a furniture store, with Arne Jacobsen chairs.
The eagle eyed among you will notice the pattern: Kronprinsesse Mary nød jubilæumsfest og farver i tysk møbelbutik | Billed Bladet
M&F also met a little Bavarian princess, in the shape of the flowergirl, Mette-Marie, dressed in a local dress: http://www.billedbladet.dk/kongelige...ersk-prinsesse
Here is a video of Frederik speaking German: http://www.billedbladet.dk/kongelige...ary-i-tyskland
The article and our reporter, the indomitable Ulrik Ulriksen, states that Mary was impressed with Frederik giving a speech in German. While I think Mary is impressed in general by Frederik, I think we should take that one with a grain of salt or two, as she doesn't speak German herself.

Thanks for the many additional pics.
The TV2 news at 19.00 covered the visit again. And we heard Frederik speaking German and as far as I could tell, he spoke perfectly fine and easy to understand German, so Mary would have had reason to be impressed as BB claimed.
But there were also a few more hard facts. Trade between northern Germany and DK is fine, thank you! Less so with southern Germany and it's an attractive market. Affluent and interested in quality but still the Danish export to northern Germany is no less than fourteen times higher than to southern Germany! So this trade offensive really matters!

Thanks to all who provided links to the wonderful photos. Another successful visit. At least the jumpsuit invited comment, and they can't call her dull. Day 3 F&M looked like they had a big night out. They are wonderful representatives for Denmark.

Indeed. Let's hope it results in orders. The Germans seem interesting in buying and we are interested in selling.
But it'll be three to five years before we can really tell whether this offensive mattered and whether M&F's participation made a genuine difference.
The companies maintains it makes a considerable difference to have the DRF around at previous offensives, so that will probably also be the case here.
Me too, Iceflower. Thanks for the gallery.

if the companies are happy, I guess these trips will continue.
They certainly do a good job in bringing in extra attention.

Frederik and Mary always do a great job on these visits. They have great attitudes and a joyous and happy connection that shines and this makes people instantly at ease, we see this in the many photos. They do a wonderful job representing Denmark.

The CP-couple's immense popularity is indeed well deserved. I btw just saw a long feature in the morning news on one of the main German channels this morning.
I'm sure they yesterday evening when they came home, and after having put the children to bed, both laid them on the couch with their feet up to a good movie on Netflix They have come home to gray rainy weather as well so what better way to relax on. When will the Danish summer come? We talk late May. It's soon June! Come on. Do you have better weather in Jutland, Muhler? In this case, I will immigrates over there soon...
Another good gallery from their last day: (just press the arrow keys)
