Well, it seems the Dukedom won’t stay with the current Duke’s son’s line, but the Barony of Beaumont will separate from the Dukedom.

One wonders if the family estate will remain with the ducal line or go to the heirs of the next duke in the event of him not having any son.

The Countess of Arundel is only 35, she still can have a son.

Benjamin Leopold Sewell (b.15 July 1990) [a descendant of Queen Victoria, son of [Charles] Percy Sewell (b.1958) & his wife Alice Louise Esther Margot, nee Huntington-Whiteley (b.1961)] & his wife Alice Sarah, nee Hobden (b. October 1989) [daughter of Michael C. Hobden & his wife, Deborah Gillian, nee Blakeney] had their first child, Heidi Lyla, on 24 May.

His elder brother Henry (b.4 May 1988) married Roberta Garbutt (b.March 1993) this year.

Constance is the eldest daughter of Toby James Foster, of Stopham, West Sussex, & his wife Arabella Charlotte Lucinda, nee Laing (b.1960), descended from the Pennington-Ramsden baronets.

Harry Soames is a son of the Baron Soames of Fletching (life peer) (b.1949), of London, & his first wife Catherine, nee Weatherall (Mrs Catherine Soames, of London, b.1956).

The infant is a great-great grandson of Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965).

I’m not doubting because of her age, but because very few people regardless of whether they are well-off tend to have fewer children these days.

I don’t think the Arundel estate will go to the current Duke’s eldest son’s heirs. I think the current Earl of Arundel will have the estate till he passes on and pass it to the next male heir (the current Duke’s second son) if he has no son. Either way the 18th Duke has two other sons. I can’t imagine a future Duke losing access to the estate given the position that the family still holds at court
