On May 13 Prince Albert met with France's reigning Olympic and European Pole Vault champion and French record holder Renaud Lavillenie at the Stade Louis II, as Lavillenie is currently training in the Principality and as he will participate in the Herculis 2013 meeting on 19 July.

Yesterday evening, May 27, Prince Albert attended the opening ceremony of the Games of the Small States of Europe in Luxembourg. The games run until June 1st. Monaco has sent a team as well. Earlier that day Prince Albert attended a reception hosted by the Grand Ducal Family of Luxembourg.

On Monday morning, May 27, Prince Albert met with a team that participated in the charity race "Tour de Half France". The team raised funds for The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the ARC Foundation for Cancer Research.

Yesterday, June 7, Prince Albert attended the 60th anniversary of the Monaco Yacht Club. Prince Emanuele Filiberto was received as a new member of the club.

If he was in Monaco only yesterday why was he not in Sweden for the royal wedding with Charlene. I find that very odd indeed... is it because he is the ruling royal of his country and only non ruling prince and princesses are expected to attend.

Yes - no ruling monarch attended Madeleine's wedding. There was surprise that Charlene went, and not Caroline.

My completely unfounded theory is that P.Charlene went alone to show the world that it was normal that P.Albert went to the the dutch inauguration by himself

The Princely Palace has announced today that Prince Albert will be on a two-day visit to Jerusalem, Israel, on June 18 and 19, on the occasion of the 90th birthday of President Shimon Peres (born August 2, 1923).
