It is kind of an interresting thought that some people "demand" others who are on sick leave to actually be in bed, maybe have bleeding and bandages too, to be taken seriously about the health condition. It seem to me that there are people out there that don't believe the CP has actually been ill.
There is a gliding betwe being back in business full time, and to be in recovery. I see no harm in that the CP had a nice day with her family. I'm sure she is back at work as we speak. No new notice about sick leave has been announced about CP Mette-Marit. Please remember royals are people too. Please don't demand more from them than from other people.
CP Mette-Marit is very sad about the accident in Ukraine, and she did like noone else would have done - she invited people to her suite and managed to do some of her duties. I think no other CP would do that. They would be resting in bed, and not showing themselves in public for weeks.
My opinion on the sick leave issue. Great photos of CP Mette-Marit by the way.

Hmmm, personally I do not NOT belive the CP was ill (a concussion isn't something you can simulate ), but it's strange to see she was able to go skiing, but unable to travel to the UK to attend Prince Charles' Birthday.
I think it's just a little weird to go skiing in the middle of your sick leave.
Of course it is good to see she was well enough to go country crossing with her kiddies; I am glad she is fine again. Aynway: this wasn't a very clever PR strategy. Of course some people / and the media are just waiting for such oppurtunities. Definitely not a very clever move by MM.

i completely agree HM. not a clever move, indeed. what was the press reaction to this in norway?
i actually see sking much worse for you if you had a concussion than attending a dinner or any other official events (she doesn't have any scheduled).

I completely agree. I am happy that she is well, but skiing seems like an odd choice for a person who has a concussion.

Well, I've had concussion this week past, and I can tell you that there is no way I was up to skiing... BUT MM was hurt long before I was...

CP Mette-Marit receives Annual Petter Dass award
Yesterday morning saw the winner of Annual Petter Dass award. This time it is Crown Princess Mette-Marit.
The award is sentenced to a person/ organization that helps to unite people and God. One of the reason to present the award to Mette-Marit was the CD "Sorgen og gleden" released earlier this year. In a booklet to the CD Crown Princess wrote "psalm is a link between me and God, between me and life".
The prize will be presented on Tuesday in the Royal palace.

Congratulations to Mette-Marit! I have always admired the work she has done for people with HIV and AIDS. This prize is well-deserved.

hmm that's weird... because the caption of ANB said that this pics showed MM and the representatives of Oslo Fashion Week. So, they must have been mistaken.

That's because she received it in August, where she didn't show up to the award ceremony, but has just now gotten around to giving an audience for the management of Oslo Fashion Week.
