The Princess will hand-out the Apples of Orange at Noordeinde Palace tomorrow may 12th.
The award in light of projects of the Orange Fund consists of a sum and a
sculpture handmade by Her Majesty The Queen herself.HM is an established artist/sculture.

It is good to see the Dutch Royals continuing with their events and engagements after a difficult time. Princess Maxima is as enthusiastic as always.
I like her neater hairstyle and I'd like her to adopt it for her casual events. The jewelry was nice and her shoes were flattering. I'm in agreement though that the top would look better on her if she invested in some better bras.

Princess Maxima has handed out the ''Appeltjes van Oranje 2009'' at palace Noordeinde in The Hague. Queen Beatrix and the Prince of Orange attended the ceremony.
The annual award of the Oranje Fonds has this year been awarded to the projects Ruilwinkel from Goes, Levensboeken from The Hague (Esmee van der Helm)and to Foundation Project from Bonaire. ( Mick Smit)
The award is 15.000 euro

at the Palace Noordeind in Den Haag. It's an annual award for
exceptional, innovative and successful projects in the social field.
Queen Beatrix and Crown Prince Willem-Alexander attended as well.

The apples of Orange is a an award that is handed out by the Orange fund. The Orange fund is a merger of various royal charities, among them the fund that the prince of Orange and princess Maxima received as a wedding present.
Nte that the Queen makes the awards (bronze aples) herself. Sculpting has been a hobby of her for decades.
Maxima's outfit is indeed terrible, but what else is new? Sigh.
