Ruling Family of Fujairah: Al Sharqi dynasty
A new thread for the Ruling Family of the Emirate of Fujairah
Ruler: HH Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi (b 25/5/1948)
succeeded his father the late Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad in 1974
married Sheikha Fatima bint Thani Al Maktoum of the Ruling Family of Dubai.
He has six children, three sons and three daughters.

Crown Prince: HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi (b 1986) appointed Crown Prince of Fujairah 8/1/2007
married Feb 2009 HH Sheikah Latifa, daughter of Sheikh Mohammed, Ruler of Dubai (16/6/1989 )

Sheikha Aisha b 2/11/2011
Sheikh Rashid (b 1987)
Completed university studies with a Masters Degree from the British American College in London.
Head of the Media Department of Fujairah and head of the Tennis Association of Fujairah.
Sheikh Maktoum (b 1991)
Graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst; currently serving in the UAE Armed Forces

He used to. Graduated between May & June of 2007. Im not sure if he is continuing his studies (masters)

It´s a bit funny that the closer the Al-Nahyans are to the Al-Qasimis, the closer the Al-Maktoum and Al-Sharqi families get...

Dubai is always interested in trying to profile themselves as a balancing force to Abu Dhabi domination in UAE.
They must have made the wrong approach to the northern emirates though as they took a long hard look at Dubai and run into the open arms of the Al-Nahyans in Abu Dhabi instead..
