General News about the Sussex Family, Part One: May 2019 - March 2020
So, this Sunday is the Sussex's 1 year wedding anniversary. Do you think that we should look forward to a post from them? Perhaps a never before seen photo from their wedding reception.
Still can't believe that it's been one year. Sometimes, it feels like it's been longer and there are times when it seems like just yesterday that a few friends and myself got up way to early to watch their wedding.

I would hope so. We’ve been so spoiled lately with Archie’s birth.

I think this Sunday all news will be about the royal bride, Gabriella Windsor.

Honestly I doubt it. Gabriella may make the news, but she isn't going to be a 'weekend wedding' news event. She isn't a well known member of the family. The guests will get it some attention and the venue.
Since Harry and Meghan's anniversary is the next day I doubt it will be over shadowed by Gabriella's wedding.

A Notice From The Moderating Team - A Reminder
From our Moderating Note first published in February:
The atmosphere in the Sussex forum these past few months has become untenable. Endless bickering, in-fighting, snarky comments directed at all and sundry, off-topic discussion -- not to mention the complete disregard for in-thread moderator warnings on multiple occasions.
It is untenable long-term, and makes browsing the Sussex forum an unsavoury experience for the larger portion of our membership base.
Why should members who follow the rules and contribute to a civil discussion be penalised when a thread is closed and they no longer have the option to discuss a topic that interests them because other members are unable to follow the rules and respect the opinions of others?
We expect our members to act civilly, reasonably and responsibly. Those that do not, will find themselves facing a suspension.
Any posts that feature any of the below will be removed by a member of the moderating team:- Insulting comments directed towards the royals, other posters, the Markles or members of the media
- Subtle - or not subtle - accusations of racism towards other posters or members of the media
- Off-topic remarks
- Aggressive tones
- Agenda-driven posts
- Bickering
- Repetitive and circular discussion
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and as long as it does not break any of the TRF Rules and Guidelines and meets the above principles, it may be posted here.
The Sussex General News thread will be host to discussion - as relevant to current news stories - about Meghan's family and the relationship between the Sussexes and the media. However, the moderating team reserves the right to revert to our original decision of not allowing these two topics to be discussed here should posters revert to the original behaviour that saw the Markle Family thread closed permanently.
Any and all issues are to be directed to the moderating team via private message.

First exclusive look at new Chrysanthemum ‘Archie Harrison,’ from Chrysanthemums Direct
Bright yellow. Very fitting for a little boy born right at sunrise.

I don't know whether this is the right thread, but --Before the baby and the move to Frogmore Cottage...
'So boring now Meghan and Harry have left' says French NottCott neighbour. 'They'd have all night soirées with friends and family coming and going, sometimes fireworks. It's so quiet now!'

 Fireworks? Seriously?
I can imagine Harry & Meghan entertaining a lot and having friends and family constantly visiting, but carrying on with fireworks is a bit much, unless it was for holiday celebrations.
Anyway, I read that Jessica Mulroney visited Frogmore Cottage the other day with her children to see Archie, Meghan & Harry. And then, Jessica went toy shopping in Windsor with her brood:

Plus the latest Instagram post on @sussexroyal. Harry looks so cool on horseback:

Harry spends first night away from Archie & Meghan, in Rome. The article also mentions that Duchess Meghan is eager for Archie to learn about all sides of his cultural heritage, including Californian American and British royal:

Master Archie has a polo mallet - how so cute - with his name on it.

I am sure now Grandma is home, and the parents have had a chance to bond with baby, more friends will come to visit.
Harry's 2nd trip away from Archie and he isn't even a month. Likely harder on daddy then baby. Thankfully short trips.
Little bit young to worry about Archie learning about either background, but I am sure he will get best of both worlds when he grows up.

In fairness to the writers, all they said was it was important for Meghan the baby learns her family history too. That's not hard to believe. Its not like this kid is going to have a white washed only royal background.
There wasn't any speculation on just how they would do that.

And that's why she is eager to take him to the USA once she is comfortable taking him on a plane?! Sounds completely unrealistic for a baby to start learning about his royal ancestors and his mother's background...

With having the parents that Archie has, there is going to be no escaping learning first hand about the world around him. Not only his British and American heritage but with the work his parents will be involved with, Archie probably will become very familiar with the Commonwealth also. Another place that'll stand out will be Africa as its near and dear to his parent's hearts and home to many of Harry's conservation work and his Sentebale in Lesotho.
I can see Harry and Meghan taking Archie with them on tours much like William and Kate have done up until the children started school. Archie will learn bit by bit just being who he is.
That bit about jumping on a plane and heading for the USA is hogwash. Right now, Archie's entire world revolves around eating, sleeping and pooping and his mommy and daddy that keep smiling at him and tickling him and making him laugh. All things in good time. Reminds me of George when he was still quite a small lad and his daddy was away on a trip to China. When his mommy told him daddy went to China, George ran over to the china cabinet and was looking for him in there.
Archie has quite a few years yet before world view lessons and personal histories come into play. He needs to learn about where he is and who he is before he learns about where he came from.

Sure, speculative guessing, which is certainly a bit overdone seeing that Archie is only a few weeks old. Iit's rather easy, gossipy speculation. Of course, Archie will one day visit California with his Mom.
And I believe from all the evidence we have seen thus far (e.g., how aspects of Meghan's American heritage were included during the royal wedding), it's an easy bet that Meghan and Harry both want little Archie to eventually learn about his entire heritage. Yes, first things first. That's always the order of business.
Indeed, Archie is one of the most famous babies in the world. Prayers and blessings for the Sussexes and Doria to keep him protected, strong, happy, enjoying life at Frogmore (Windsor Great Park) and sustaining young Archie for all the challenges and adventures his life will hold in the future. From her Tig, Instagram and interviews, I know Meghan is a staunch advocate of living in the present moment with gratitude and positivity.

This was touched upon when the Sussexes left KP and Chris Ship sort of doubles down on it that he believes Harry and Meghan did want their own household but were denied it.
There's a short video with the article.

Ship can't back up anything he's claiming. Until he can he comes off as a gossip reporter.
Archie apparently is getting a lot of visitors

I don't know where DM is getting the sources for this because I don't think the Sussexes would leak to the tabloids.

I think some of it is deductive reasoning not sources. Friends are seen in England, ergo they also are visiting Archie.
Interesting—supposedly Harry cooled his friendship with Inskip because Tom thought Harry was moving too fast with Meghan? Where have we heard that before with someone else in the role?
And apparently it was Markus Anderson who planned her baby shower in NYC.

Serena and one of Meghan's friends from Northwestern University planned the baby shower. She talked about it last month.
