When Victoria and Daniel come to Finland in November, I'll be there for sure, where ever they go!

More information from Finnish newspaper: They will meet Finland's president Tarja Halonen (probably in Helsinki), go to Helsinki's neighbor city, Espoo, and a bit farer, to the city of Lahti.

Lahti citizens have sent a lot of wishes about where they would like to invite Victoria and Daniel on their visit in the city of Lahti, Finland. According to this paper, Victoria and Daniel want to meet the citizens of Lahti, especially children in schools. People living in Lahti are proud that Victoria and Daniel have chosen their city for the visit.

In Lahti Victoria and Daniel will have just a day-trip, and after that they will go back to Helsinki to the Presidential Palace to have a dinner there.

Victoria and Daniel will visit Tiirismaa High School in Lahti, where they will take a look into Swedish language education in Finland. They will also visit Sibelius Concert House (Sibeliustalo :: FI), where they will have a lunch. In program will be a short symphony concert too. They also take a look into renewable energy research center.

On the second day of their visit, in Helsinki, Victoria and Daniel will have a visit at young people's action center, have lunch at the city house, and open a Finnish-Swedish seminar in Espoo, Hanasaari Swedish-Finnish Culture Center (Hanaholmen in Swedish). Also, I read from today's Ilta-Sanomat paper magazine that Victoria and Daniel will come to Finland with a normal route flight from Sweden on Sunday, 31st October, and they will have a room in some of the Helsinki center hotels. They also meet president Tarja Halonen and Dr. Pentti Arajärvi in their residence, Mäntyniemi, in Helsinki, as the first thing they do on Monday morning.

Tiirismaa high school in Lahti is actually closed for autumn holidays at the time of their visit, but students and teachers will come to school just for meeting Victoria and Daniel...

Victoria and Daniel were interviewed and photographed by Finnish media because they arrive to Finland tomorrow evening. They are happy to come.

I just followed live broadcast provided by Finnish newspaper Iltalehti, and I saw Victoria and Daniel arriving in the vip terminal of Helsinki airport. Victoria was wearing a dark blue suit. She said to the photographers who were waiting there: "What a welcome!"

I just have to ask, is there something like a unnormal flight:)?

They also could have taken Silja och Vikingline ferries, could have been intresting....

Wounder why they didnt go to a certain fortress on this trip:)

Normal route flight means like... not a private flight.
Ferry trip would last one night, I suppose they are too busy for that.

And the fortress i mean is Sveaborg/Soumalina(or what its called in Finland)

Suomenlinna :)

In an interview to Finnish media some days ago Victoria said that she remembers clearly her first trip to Helsinki in 1996, when she arrived with her parents in a military ship and passed by Sveaborg/Suomenlinna fortress. There was a lot of private boats around welcoming them.

When Victoria arrived to her hotel in Helsinki (Hotel Haven, http://www.hotelhaven.fi/en) she forgot her handbag on the bench of the police car that picked them up from the airport. But she got it back, happy end :)

They have certainly been on the go since the got married.

I decided to go to Lahti (1 hour from Helsinki) to see Victoria and Daniel. It was worth it! They walked long way (poor Victoria without a coat in cold wind and 8 Celsius degrees) talking and waving to thousands of people who had gathered around Sibeliustalo in Lahti. I was among the first 30 people who arrived there, so I got a really good place for photographing.

Click also the next video where Victoria goes to meet school pupils in Lahti. In that video a journalist asks what Victoria likes most in Finland and she smiles and opens her arms wide and says: "You!" meaning the people.
