According to ABC newspaper, King Felipe and Queen Letizia will visit the United States in June. They will be on the 15th and 16th in New Orleans, a city founded by French settlers, but which for about forty years belonged to the Spanish Crown; and the days 16 to 18, in San Antonio, a city founded by Spanish Franciscan missionaries. On the 19th they will be received by Donald Trump in the White House.

The main celebrations of the Armed Forces Day took part in Logroña (La Rioja) not in Madrid. Coincidentally today the Queen is in La Rioja again for a seminar on the use of the Spanish Language in the press.

Armed Forces Day was celebrated in a different city each year, but with the economic crisis it was downsized and only took part in Madrid during years. Last year the main celebrations and official parade were taken to Guadalajara, the first time outside Madrid in years.

Well, The King have to be officially Invested with the Order of the Garter. The ceremony takes place on the 18th of June.

Haven’t read it anywhere. Usually the foreign Monarch is officially installed as a member at some point. Just wondering if The King will be installed on the 18th? Formally invested with the mantle and chain and attend the service.

To lula, thanks for the video but I hate those flashing lights and I don't know how the Royals and the Hollywood stars stand the flash bulbs. Their world is different from ours. How can their children cope and become self-supporting if junior children?
