Today is The Day of the Right of the Public Access, instituted by Generation Pep and Svenskt Friluftsliv.
To mark the day Daniel and Generation Pep's operations manager Carolina Klüft arrived to Örebro (the place where Daniel was born) to carry out a hike and talk about ways to inspire the people of Örebro to find the joy of movement in nature.

Daniel and Carolina Klüft came and went on a hike from Lundby's outermost corner, along the edge of the forest, over Vivallakullen, through Hjärstaskogen and up to Baronbackarna. Three hours and 10,000 steps later they, journalists, politicians and a whole bunch of municipal officials ended the day.

Prince Daniel participated in the Day of the Right of the Public Access, with the aim of increasing knowledge about the Right of the Public Access and inspiring more people to outdoor life.
The hike went through the Öknaskogen nature reserve. During the walk, a stop was made in Hjärstaskogen, where Örebro municipality created a play environment. The day ended at a newly built playground at the Baronbackarna district park.
On the walk were representatives from Örebro Municipality, Örebro County, Region Örebro, RF-SISU Örebro, Naturskyddsföreningen Örebro, Friluftsfrämjandet, Svenskt friluftsliv and Generation Pep as well as partners.

Daniel told to the press on the Day of the Right of the Public Access in Örebro:
- The Right of the Public Access that we have is something unique. That we can roam freely in the forest and land, regardless of who owns the land. It's something we have to protect. But it also comes with obligations. We have to take care of this, make sure we pick up trash after us. I think that people don't do it to the extent that they would like. I grew up with "Keep Sweden tidy". Having done that, it is strange to throw litter on the ground. But now you see litter on the ground everywhere. I think this is something that we need to talk about more.
Victoria and Daniel have transferred the passion for a clean climate and green forests to their children. Estelle and Oscar have many times accompanied on litter picking, something they certainly do without the cameras.
Daniel tells what else they are doing:
- We are out walking in the woods, picnicing and picking berries. We are skiing, hiking. We are real "skogsmullar".
Prins Daniel uppmanar nu till förändring.

Skogsmulle was created in Sweden by Gösta Frohm in the 1950s, with the intention of bringing children closer to forests and fields, and teaching them to respect nature.
