I think I understand the family tree, I just don't quite know how you operate these first and second cousin expressions. In my mind, since Philip is one generation older than Carl Gustaf, he belongs to the uncle-generation and since Louise was a stepmother it makes Philip a stepuncle. If that expression even exists They can't ''step-'' forever, can they ??
Yes, he is a generation older than the current King, but he is not a step-uncle.
Look at it like this, you have an aunt, your mom's sister, who marries a man with his own children, you are then sort a step- first cousin to them. When they have children of their own, you are then a step-second cousin...in no way are you an uncle or aunt...unless it is honorary..
