In the interview in Berlingske QMII also talks about her first meeting with Mary and this is a summary from BB:
Sådan var det første møde mellem dronning Margrethe og Mary | Billed Bladet
The Queen cannot hide her joy that the Crown Prince choseMary. And she says in the interview that she is convinced that her mother Queen Ingrid would have been just as thrilled. The two never met though. Frederik had only just met Mary when Queen Ingrid died.
Queen Margrethe tells that she sense that Frederik already back then was pretty certain that this is where the opportunity should be seized (best possible translation I can come up with), as the Queen puts it. After the very first meeting between the Queen of Denmark and the young Australian Mary Donaldson, the Queen was in no doubt: She hoped it would last.
- "As you say the basis of the layered cake was in order. That expression my mother often used and it was obvious that the basis of the layered cake was very much in order".
The QMII is asked whether it's a proud mother-in-law who speaks, to which she responds that THAT it is and she is not at all sorry to say that she is proud.
"Might be I'm a terrible mother-in-law, but she's proud"!
QMII goes on to praise M&F for the good team they are and praise Mary for her work with the Mary Foundation: "She does thing, that I have never been able to do likewise".
- QMII also praise M&F in the Alt For Damerne interview, but more on that later.
And yes mods, I keep the general Berlingske interview separate from the remarkable immigration topic and also sparate from the Alt For Damerne interview, otherwise it'll be too difficult for me to keep things apart and things are happening and being added continually.
ADDED: The first part of the interview in Berlingske:
Eksklusivt interview med Dronningen: »Vi skal ikke lade os kyse« - Personlig udvikling | www.b.dk
In Danish though. If someone else would like to write a summary of translation please do so, I'll be busy handling the Alt For Damerne interview.
The interview is very interesting! She praises the Poles and express her admiration for them and she also talks about how M&F and also J&M take over more and more and that that is very much on purpose.
