The Prince of Asturias comes to Managua for Daniel Ortega's investiture
The Prince of Asturias, inheritor of the Spanish Wreath, came today to Managua to be present at the acts of Daniel Ortega's investiture as president of Nicaragua.
Felipe de Borbón came to 15.00 local time (21.00 GMT) on board of an Airbús of the Air Spanish Force, accompanied of the secretary of State of Spain for Latin America, Trinidad Jiménez; her collaborator Javier San Domingo, general manager of exterior politics for Latin America, and the chief of the secretary of the Prince, Jaime Alfonsín.
As all the leaders who have come or they it go to do in the next hours Managua with the same motive, the Prince of Asturias was received to there peeps plane for the minister of Exterior Relations Nicaraguan, Norman Cladera, and a military detachment that him produced military honors.
The ambassador of Spain in Nicaragua, Jaime Lacadena Higuera, at the head of the members of his diplomatic representation, also they received the prince in the international airport of Managua.
From the airport, Felipe de Borbón moved to the hotel where there lodge the majority of the chiefs of State or of Government invited to the investiture of Ortega, to come later to a meeting with the salient president of Nicaragua, Enrique Bolaños.
The Prince of Asturias is a carrier of paths letters of the King Juan Carlos of Spain, of farewell to Bolaños one and other one of letter of congratulation and good auguries for Ortega, with whom he has foreseen to meet immediately after his interview with the salient leader of Nicaragua.
In both letters the monarch expresses his gratefulness, in the first one for the cooperation with Spain during the government of Bolaños, and in the directed one Ortega for the invitation to take part in his investiture, they informed to Efe sources of the secretary of the Prince.
In the meetings with Ortega and Bolaños the inheritor of the Spanish Wreath will be accompanied of the secretary of State for Latin America, the general manager of Exterior Politics for Latin America and the chief of the secretary of the Prince, they informed the same sources.
In the night, the Prince will receive in the residence of the ambassador of Spain in Managua to a representation of the collectivity of his country in Nicaragua.
On Wednesday, Felipe de Borbón will have breakfast also in the residence of the Spanish ambassador with a group of out-standing representatives of different sectors of the Nicaraguan society.
Later, he will be present at the central act of transfer of presidential control that there will celebrate in the Plaza of Not aligned Omar Torrijos of Managua, in which one will install for the occasion the National Assembly or Nicaraguan parliament.
In this act, Bolaños will deliver the presidential band to Imperial sand grouse, who later will deliver his first speech as flaming president of the Republic.
Concluded this ceremony, the Prince of Asturias and his accompanists will return to Spain.
