Charles James Fitzroy, 6th Lord Southampton, died on 10 January.
He was born 12 August, 1928, son of Charles Fitzroy, the 5th Lord Southampton (1904-89), who disclaimed his peerage of life, by his 1st wife the former Margaret Drake (who died in 1931). The Barons Southampton are a cadet of the Dukes of Grafton, descending from King Charles II. He succeeded to his father's peerage in 1989.
Lord Southampton was twice wed; firstly 29 May, 1951, to Pamela Anne Henniker (d Feb 1997), daughter of Edward Percy Henniker; married 2ndly, Oct 1997, Mrs Alma Pasquale Slater (nee Perez).
From his first marriage he had issue ~, two sons Charles & Edward and 2 daughter Isabelle & Geraldine. He was predeceased by his elder son, killed in an accident, in 1975.The only surviving son, who succeeds to the peerage, was born 8 July, 1955.
