The heat of the minimalism

Pointed creator, Nouredinne Amir stretches the lines of the caftan worms of sculptural dresses where silk, henné, raffia, dried pinks juggle in a refined, significant and luminous atmosphere. Raised by tone natural, the geometrical lines of the designer impose a spirit purified concerning THE universel.

Samira El Haddouchi: rhythm and movement

Silk, lace, satin, Swiss gibe, taffetas… Samira El Haddouchi always makes a point of modernizing the caftan! With through an invaluable disorder and learnedly orchestrated spangles and pearls, furs, plumages, lacing, tears and crantages, it signs an original collection of rate/rhythm, the amplor and of fluidity where its taste marked for lthe asymetry returns like a leitmotiv. Soft tone with the blazing key, contrasts are with go!

Fadilah Berrada:

Return to the sure values

For her 5th participation in Caftan, Fadilah Berrada presents a collection which persists and signs a style increasingly more female, smart and refined. Its topic: four seasons. Its turn of force: pure lines for caftans reinvented in depth. One finds his codes of predilection there, namely of invaluable and plain fabrics for background (taffeta, satin duchess, organza); an extraordinary research task to reinvent the embroidery and to flower its caftans of bouquets truer than natural (after the famous mystical signs of Koraichi, here ceramics for silk wire!!) ; perfect but innovative completions containing hooks and of buttons work Jacquard (néo-akad!) ; sheath dresses as a kmiss; stoles to perfect each creation and, of course, belts ornaments whose Fadilah has the secrecy.

Albert Oiknine:

One dazzling set of matters
Mix volumes, lines and matters, the caftan of Albert Oiknine flirte, this year, with a “robe spirit of the evening” typically eastern and moroccan. Perlage and lace sign l’esprit of the designer who moves us in a universe scintillating worthy of Shéherazade. Without forgetting the duet skirt-corset where it excels.

beaded lace.

2-Wrap-around skirt out of printed satin, beaded and draped corset, silk tulle bolero beaded. Fabric offered by Janssens.

Nabil Dahani:

The oriental Moulin-Rouge.

After a first passage noticed and remarkable as a young talent in Caftan 2002, Nabil Dahani makes its entry in the court of large. Very glamour, its first collection High-Seam, inspiration of the Twenties, is faithful to its style: a subtle mixture of Parisian actual and Moroccan traditional work. The caftan is transformed into caftan-dress, decorated here coats full, belt-corsets, hoods, long sleeves bubbled, back-naked, dyed pétaradantes, the whole worked by maâlmins Marrakchis. The nail of the spectacle: crystals which make a foot of nose to the traditional spangles.

1-Sheath dress Bordeaux wine and wraps out of velvet worked. Collar of pearls Bordeaux wine.

2-Sheath dress out of pistachio green satin worked maâlem. Long cape pink.

3-Printed open coat, long-line bra, trousers bubbled in bottom and embroidered
crystals.

4-Sheath dress out of satin fuchsia, pink bolero fuchsia. Work "maâlem".

Fashion Caftan 2005 blossoms tonight

Fashion lovers will have their evening today in Marrakech as the final show of Caftan 2005 is about to unfold…

Tonight is the final show of Caftan du Maroc. The only clues fashion victims have for the moment are the names of the eight stylists participating in it: Najia Abbadi, Nabil Dahani, Samira Haddouchi, Mohamed Lakhdar, Zineb Souissi, Achraf Makoudui, Fadwa Al Hamed, and one word: flowers.

However, the pre-selection of this year's new talents has already proved difficult for the organisers, which is quite promising for us (see photos): “We had an incredible number of applications,” said Aïcha Skhri, one of the organisers, “we received more than 60 application files, and we selected only eleven.” Out of these eleven, only five have been selected for tonight's fashion show.

Launched in 2002 by the Moroccan monthly “Femmes du Maroc” (Nissaa al Maghrib) Caftan 2005 was originally aimed at encouraging young haute-couture talents but, only three years after its start, the event has already become an international fashion show as tonight's defile is to be aired by both the TVM and the Arabic language channel “Art.”

This year's session has also been marked by the launch of a ready to wear fashion week, organized under the theme “Moroccan Touch.” This demonstration is more than welcome now, especially as Morocco's textile industry must evolve to keep competing with giants such as China…

Zakia Chraïbi for Salima Caftans:

Tendency tradition Of at the very least traditional cut:
Caftans de Zakia Chraïbi do not derogate from the creative line of the dressmaker: to remain with closest to traditional clothing. A step supported by a choice of fabrics made to measure for its house. Majestic and academic, the parts of Zakia Chraïbi are declined with brilliance in a universe where elegance resounds in the timeless one.

1-Blue tulle caftan harms with spangles in bottom and on the handles, on bottom doubled out of silk satin. Large tulle scarf.

2-caftan blue tulle king with square spangles in bottom and on the handles, caftan spangled.

3-Green caftan with spangles colors way squares, on khaki bottom in organza embroidered and beaded in bottom and on the handles.

Souad Chraïbi for Renata:

Caftans Authentic line Tradition

with the honor for the collection of this designer who takes part for the first time in the Caftan procession. An academic line underlined by a cut, embroideries, embroidered silk belts which draw a silhouette that and there, boldly broken by plays of transparency. A collection with the colors very tendency where the pink, the fuschia, the green surprise by their strange and unexpected alliance. With 20 years of trade, Souad Chraïbi (Renata Seams) is essential like a large injury of the Moroccan seam.

Amina Benmoussa:

The tradition with the glares:

Between judiciously diverted traditional line and sets of matters added such as feathers, spangles, Amina Benmoussa creates an extremely ludic effect chatoyant where the colors spout out de.toutes.parts. Silky texture, plays of tulle and discrete embroideries, Caftan d' Amina Benmoussa draws its inspiration in a vivifying pallet and nevertheless decorated of a beautiful whole of traditional lines. For his first participation in Caftan, the designer, initially graduate of the Boulle School, affixes a signature removed and blazing.

1-Caftan two pieces: above variegated and falls of straws, below in white taffeta. Stole in multi-coloured muslin. Plated belt gold.

2-Caftan white broken embroidered, lace trousers, and shirt maker. Girdle out of satin duchess. Stole in taffeta.

Albert Oiknine :

dazzling spirit haute couture!

Sumptuous set of volumes and details embroidered for the collection of the designer High-Seam who, this year still, inflects the caftan towards a mixing between evening dress and traditional clothing, thus marking his recognizable signature between thousand. Between caftans juponnés, transparencies and incrustations of pearls and crystal spangles learnedly exploited, the parts of Albert Oiknine touch end of the fingers a rare universe where the spectacular one and the traditional one is côtoient with happiness. Splendid.

who is the recongnized designer of moroccan princesse?

As far as i know , there are tailors at The palaces who make Caftan for the princesses , it's like a factory ,they're working every day to fix all the dresses , it's a full time job for them , also there is a specific Cut and Seam (Couture) The name is MAKHZANIA, wich means in Moroccan everything related to the royal family, Power ;)
as u can see in those pictures , the specific tissues and the seams around the neck ( GOLD OR SILVER ) is what it called Caftan Makhzani :)
