No, in Spain generally the King and the heiress do not travel abroad together. Probably in a few years, it will be Princess Leonor who makes these trips and not King Felipe. Although her event schedule has grown, she still has many years of studies ahead of her.

I think when Leonor is up and running, after her studies, the inauguration of new presidents will become one of her first duties to take over from her father.

Yes as Felipe undertook these duties when he was Prince of Asturias.

Today, January 25, King Felipe visited the headquarters and factory of Mantequerías Arias in Vegalencia (Asturias) to mark its 175th anniversary.

Afterwards he attended the closing ceremony of the centenary of "Automóviles de Luarca S.A." in Oviedo (Asturias):
