And here more picture (with the queen, too): :flowers:

Love all these gowns with eye-popping color! :flowers: The Queen looks great, and I particularly like the gown of the woman who is standing alone in what looks to be a crystal-encrusted blue ensemble (3rd picture down). Luscious gowns overall.

The King attended on Wednesday at a lecture by climate scientist Raymond T Pierrehumbert at Stockholm University. Professor Pierrehumbert is the holder of King Carl XVI Gustaf Professorship in Environmental Science 2014.

The king and queen have been since Monday on a skiing holiday in Switzerland.
Despite foggy weather they went skiing on Wednesday afternoon - but the ski day had a dramatic end.
At 15 o'clock Queen Silvia fell and injured herself.
- It was a bit poor visibility as the queen fell on the ski slopes, says Margareta Thorgren.
After the accident the queen shall have been treated at a hospital nearby.
- The doctors found that she had a fractured right shoulder, says Thorgren.
The queen and the king do not plan to cancel the ski trip despite the accident.
- They intend to stay a few more days but it will probably be no more skiing for the Queen, says Thorgren.
The king and queen have a hectic schedule next week. It is still unclear how the accident will now affect it.
- It's sad when these things happen because the king and queen have a fairly comprehensive program ahead of them, says Thorgren.

Margareta Thorgren said to Aftonbladet that the king and queen have had a very intensive program until this vacation, which also should be combined with royal duties.
After the holidays a continued hectic schedule is expecting but according to Thorgren it remains to be seen whether there will be any changes in the program of the Queen's part.
- The Queen is in good spirits, but obviously a fracture is something that will take time to heal, she says.
The Queen has been told to rest by the doctors, but she does not have orthopedic cast. She may need to wear a sling for a time.

Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf is worried about his country’s diplomatic spat with Saudi Arabia and has offered to give his two cents in helping Sweden find a solution to the problem. Next week, he will meet Foreign Minister Margot Wallström to discuss the row.
Tensions heightened when Saudi Arabia responded by recalling its ambassador to Stockholm and announced it would not issue any new visas for Swedish business people.
On Saturday, the royal palace announced that the king would meet Sweden’s top diplomat on Monday “to help contribute in finding a solution to the situation”.
The king also said that: “It’s important to have a good dialogue and good relations between countries,” but noted that he hadn’t been in contact with the Saudi royals.

The court has taken away from the swedish calendar the work event (national conference on human trafficking and sexual exploitation) scheduled for the queen today.

Queen Silvia arrived last Thursday to a hotel Landgasthof "Schützen" in Oberried-Weilersbach. She was there to visit her aunt, uncle and cousin and stayed one night. She didn't want any photos taken.

From Expressen
After the accident on the slopes: Silvia canceled - again
Since she was injured in a skiing accident almost two weeks ago, she has repeatedly cancelled official duties. Last - today.
- The announcement comes late, she hoped until the last moment, she wanted to participate in the final at this conference, but now she is forced to cancel, says Annika Sönnerberg at the court's information department.
Last Saturday Princess Christina's son Gustaf Magnuson and his wife Vicky Andren Magnuson had the baptism of daughter Désirée in the Royal Chapel inside the Royal Palace. Queen Silvia and the rest of the royal family were of course guests. After the baptism Princess Christina with husband Tord hosted a lunch at their home beside the Palace and all the family came to celebrate the small newly baptized girl - except one person: The Queen. The Queen chose to leave the castle through the back door.
It was almost two weeks ago as the queen fell so badly on the ski slopes of Klosters in Switzerland that she had to be rushed to hospital.
Queen Silvia should shortly after the accident attended in a board meeting of the World Childhood Foundation, but chose to skip the meeting. Instead, it was the daughter Madeleine who represented the royal family. That Queen Silvia jumped away from a Board meeting of the World Childhood Foundation is not only very rare - but unique. Never before in recent years the Queen has chosen not to participate. Queen Silvia founded the WCF in 1999 and is now honorary president. Board meetings are always held in Stockholm Palace, and so they should fit the Queen's calendar.
Today Tuesday queen would be on a conference, but now she cancells.
- Queen regrets to set up tomorrow because of her injury. She is on the mend but it hurts. It's hard to sit still as long as an entire conference day, says Annika Sönnerberg.
Sönnerberg can not in the current situation say how this will affect the Queen's schedule.
- That I can not say. The given notice from day to day. We hope as soon as possible to be involved in the planned program, she says.
Expressen talked last week with Margaret Thorgren of the Queen's injury:
- The Queen's schedule changes frequently. There is nothing unusual, says Margareta Thorgren.
How the Queen is actually?
- She's doing well.
Is she bandaged after the accident?
- No, but she is carrying sling.

I think the queen did the right thing...If she didn't feel well she has to take precautions... This is the first time she missed such a meeting... therefore I see no problems...

King Carl Gustaf visited today Hagastaden. Hagastaden is one of Stockholm’s largest and most important urban development projects. By 2025, the area between the city of Stockholm and Solna, will be built and developed into an entirely new neighborhood with a mixture of apartments, workplaces, cultural attractions, green areas, world-leading research and highly specialized medical care.

Johan T Lindwall writes in Expressen that according to their sources the Queen's injury on the ski slopes is more serious than previously identified. The court has previously said that the Queen is on the mend and that she was wearing a sling for her injury. The Queen must have been anesthetized down and according to the sources at the surgery, doctors have chosen implanting titanium screws to the shoulder to stabilize it. Back home in Sweden last week, the queen shall immediately have sought his private physician at Sophiahemmet Hospital.
Margareta Thorgren from the press department:
- We have always been clear and communicated that the queen was injured in a skiing accident and suffered a fractured right shoulder.
To the questions about the surgery, Thorgren answered:
- There's nothing we comment. But I can say that the Queen was taken care of very professionally and well.
How is the Queen today?
- The injury heals according to the plan. The Queen feels good.
